The Last Dinner Party release new single “Big Dog”

May 8, 2026

Today, The Last Dinner Party released their new single “Big Dog,” a track that’s already become a standout favorite during their live shows. The song was co-produced by the ban, marking their first production credit alongside Animesh Raval. “Big Dog” leans into a darker, more intense art-pop sound with shades reminiscent of PJ Harvey. Alongside the single, the band also shared “Come All You Beasts,” a spoken word piece they often perform before the song during concerts. Band member Georgia Davies explained that “Come All You Beasts” was created to introduce the mythic and storytelling themes that connect From the Pyre and “Big Dog.” She said the piece blends themes from the song with Bible passages, twisting traditional ideas about women’s safety. Drawing inspiration from poetry and performance art, the band felt spoken word and improvised music naturally fit their creative style. Fans can stream “Big Dog” and watch the accompanying music video now:   The band has also added more dates supporting Olivia Rodrigo after strong demand. Their residency now includes ten shows at [Read More]

The Last Dinner Party release new track and video for The Scythe, off their upcoming album From the Pyre

September 5, 2025

We are very excited to share new music from The Last Dinner Party. They have just released their new track, The Scythe which is off their forthcoming album, From the Pyre which is set for a release on October 17th via Island Records. The song was conceived by Abigail Morris in her teens as a breakup song. Abigail Morris on ‘The Scythe’: “This song began 9 years ago, like a prophecy. I wrote it before I had known anything of grief or heartbreak, how a relationship ending feels exactly the same as that person dying. Once you know how it feels to lose someone you enter a new realm from which you can never return. You’re trying to reach them telepathically through psychics or song lyrics (sometimes those two become the same) and sometimes they give you a reply. It can take 9 years to realise you’re even grieving at all but once you do you see them everywhere – in a robin, in a street fox, in a Wim Wenders film. The Scythe comes [Read More]

The Last Dinner Party announce new album and release new single

July 17, 2025

One of our absolute favorite bands, The Last Dinner Party have just announced the news for their second album. Their second album FROM THE PYRE is set to release on October 17th via Island Records. In addition to announcing the album news, they have released a new single, “This Is The Killer Speaking”. The band share about their new album: “This record is a collection of stories, and the concept of album-as-mythos binds them. ‘The Pyre’ itself is an allegorical place in which these tales originate, a place of violence and destruction but also regeneration, passion and light. “The songs are character driven but still deeply personal, a commonplace life event pushed to pathological extreme. Being ghosted becomes a Western dance with a killer, and heartbreak laughs into the face of the apocalypse. Lyrics invoke rifles, scythes, sailors, saints, cowboys, floods, Mother Earth, Joan of Arc, and blazing infernos. We found this kind of evocative imagery to be the most honest and truthful way to discuss the way our experiences felt, giving each the [Read More]
