The Wonder Years return with new single “Oldest Daughter”

April 26, 2022

Philadelphia’s The Wonder Years return full force today with the release of their new song, “Oldest Daughter”. They kicked 2022 off with a near-entirely sold-out headlining tour, one that found them celebrating two of their most beloved records: 2010’s “The Upsides” and 2011’s “Suburbia I’ve Given You All and Now I’m Nothin“. On another discography standout album, 2013’s “The Greatest Generation“, vocalist Dan Campbell sings of alcoholism and the “bitter and vitriolic” trappings of the east coast winter in a song called “Madelyn”. Nearly a decade later, “Oldest Daughter” picks up where that song left off. The energy here is much different but the ending remains unfortunately the same. “It’s about coming to the understanding that you can’t save everyone”, Dan explains. “There are going to be people you love who will destroy themselves no matter how badly you want them to stop”. Every release from The Wonder Years finds the band pushing the limits of their sound, but this song truly feels like they’re pulling from all the best parts. Produced by Steve Evetts [Read More]

The Wonder Years premier new video for Dismantling Summer

March 25, 2014

Pop Punk sensation, The Wonder Years are in the midst of their shows for their headlining tour, “The Greatest Generation Tour”. They have been having great success with the tour and shows are selling out. They just released a music video for Dismantling Summer which is off of their latest album, The Greatest Generation. The video was directed by Drew Russ and shot in the band’s hometown of Philadelphia, PA. “We knew that for a song so personal, a literal re-telling for the video would be unwelcome and painful.”  Says lead vocalist Dan “Soupy” Campbell. “Drew, the director took the core nerve of the song, the idea of being away when it matters most, and spun it into an absurdist piece of dark comedy during which my family found themselves fed up with my perpetual absence and replaced me with a mannequin, leaving me in the literal cold.”  Check out the video here:     You can catch The Wonder Years out on their headlining tour with support from Fireworks, Real Friends, Citizen and Modern Baseball.
