Photo gallery: Novelists, The Word Alive, Elwood Stray and Ashen in Munich

March 3, 2024

Last week quite an international line-up came to Munich. We had two bands from France – Novelists and Ashen, one from Germany – Elwood Stray, and The Word Alive from the US on stage at the Backstage Halle. The show had an early start at 7 pm and ended at about 10.20 pm, which is perfectly ok, since it was Monday which might not be the most popular day for a line-up of 4 bands. Nevertheless, all four bands played great sets. Enjoy the pictures and see for yourself. Ashen Ashen have no new tours announced so far, just some single dates. Make sure to check out their social media for updates. Elwood Stray Elwood Stray do have some festival participations announced. Keep yourself updated via their social media/homepage. The Word Alive The Word Alive will be joining Asking Alexandria and Memphis May Fire on their tour through the US. Make sure to get your ticket(s) HERE. Novelists Novelists will be joining ERRA on their US tour. Get your tickets HERE. For more information on [Read More]

The Word Alive share new single “Nocturnal Future”

November 17, 2022

The Word Alive are back! Two years after the release of their latest album ‘Monomania” the band released a new track today. “Nocturnal Future” is the first single without former guitarist Tony Pizzuti and drummer Matt Horn, which departed from the band about a year ago. Vocalist Telle Smith on the new song: „‚Nocturnal Future‘ is meant to be unexpected, and from the moment it starts I think you feel a new energy in the music we haven’t captured before. I wanted to encapsulate all of the things our fans have loved into one song, intricate guitars, flashy yet tasteful drums, meaningful lyrics and melodies you’ll want to sing along too. Lyrically, it’s a call to each of us to try to do more in a world seemingly hell bent on destroying itself. By the end of the song we want you to have pictured yourself at our show losing your mind, hopefully we’ll see you soon!“ Over the past months, the band has been working on album number seven, which can be expected in 2023. The Word Alive part ways with guitarist and drummer and share new song “Wonderland”

October 25, 2021

Last weekend AZ-based band The Word Alive shared the news of the departure of co-founding member Tony Pizzuti (guitar) and Matt Horn (drums). The band released the following statement: Dear TWA Family, For the last 18+ months we’ve dreamed of reuniting on stage to perform for you all. We’ve spent countless hours working on new music, live streams for you & connecting in ways we never envisioned while the world stopped. Through that time we’ve all grown & changed in many ways. It is in that spirit that we announce a lineup change to The Word Alive. It’s bitter sweet because while we’ve loved every special memory we share w/ both Tony/Matt & couldn’t have made it this far without their dedication & passion for the band, to our message & the fans first & foremost, we must support their decision to pursue other opportunities life has presented them. We have so much love for them as it is w/ any previous member of The Word Alive, our goal is to always push forward with [Read More]

Falling In Reverse’s first record ‘The Drug In Me Is You’ has just been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Congratulations on that! Falling In Reverse will hit the road in the US in February/ March 2020 with special guests Escape The Fate and The Word Alive. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 am local.
