THIS FRIDAY: Get ready for a night of Motley Crue and ZZ Top music with two great tribute bands

Okay Santa Rosa, we know what you should be doing this Friday night. Two great tribute bands will be performing at Rock Star University House of Rock, the premiere venue. Guitarist extraordinaire Nili Brosh announces show with new all-female Van Halen Tribute band, Unchained

We are excited to share the news with you that the guitarist extraordinaire, Nili Brosh will be playing this weekend with her new all-female Van Halen Tribute band, Unchained. Nili posted the news via her Facebook page here: Hey everyone! Lately my attention has been focused on something that finally warrants an announcement: I have a new band. It’s a Van Halen tribute band. It’s all-female. It’s called Unchained. I’d like to introduce you to the girls: that’s me in that skirt (duh), Shannon Moore on vocals, Janna Brunner on drums, and Liza Sanchez on bass. Our debut SoCal show is this coming Saturday, April 23rd at The Rock House in Long Beach, CA. We are sharing the bill with several other wonderful tribute bands and will be going on at about 9:15. Macaulay Culkin shows his love for pizza with his Velvet Underground Tribute band; The Pizza Underground

Ok, so we all love pizza right? When I think of pizza and Macaulay Culkin, I don’t exactly think of music. I think of one of my favorite scenes from Home Alone where he orders the pizza and plays the movie “Angels With Filthy Faces” which is a play upon the James Cagney movie from 1938 “Angels with Dirty Faces”. Well, with that in mind, Macaulay Culkin has created a pizza themed Velvet Underground Tribute band titled, “The Pizza Underground” where all the songs have the lyrics updated with pizza theme references. How about the take on These Days updated and replaced with Cheese Days or I’m Waiting for Delivery Man instead of Velvet Undeground’s original, Waiting for the Man.
