December 16, 2013

The video is finally here! Red9 released their video for “Ignoramus” from their new album “Under Dark Skies”. Their album is filled with some KICK ASS Rock n Roll and you can read my full review of it here. It is a great video and I just love the bad ass bass in that song! It  dark edgy sound with an exuberant build up that just delivers another well composed song from Red9.The video is incredibly entertaining and was directed by Raúl Gonzales (RSM Creative).  Red9 does seem to put out some of the best videos in the industry lately! Check out the video here:   These guys are a powerhouse of rock and adrenaline. Red9 is Paul ‘Friz” Frislie on guitars, Giovanni ‘Gio” Fuentes and Jeff on bass and vocals. Together they create a true rock sound and I am hoping for a Bay Area show soon. I am going to need my Red9 Fix! They have a sound similar to Tool and a grungier Nine Inch Nails. Join RED9 in the making of their new music video!

November 5, 2013

I remember the first time I saw Red9. They were personally chosen by Slash to open for him at his Los Angeles Wiltern show in 2012. They were incredible. Red9 is a Southern California rock trio. Just because there are only 3, does not mean they do not deliver a huge sound! These guys are a powerhouse of rock and adrenaline. Then earlier this year, they released their CD “Under Dark Skies” and it KICKED ASS! You can read my review of their CD here. Well, here we are in November and they are ready to make a video for their song, Ignoramus off their CD. I can only imagine what they will do that song. It is great, it has a dark edgy sound with an exuberant build up.   They have just announced a Kickstarter campaign to fund their Official  Video. They had great success with their first music video “Fanatico” that included an Orange County Music Award nomination for best music video. So head over to their Kickstarter page and see how you can [Read More]

Get under the spell of Red9 and rock!

June 14, 2013

Today I was treated to a special afternoon filled with some KICK ASS Rock and Roll!!! I recently received the new CD by Red9 “Under Dark Skies”.  It was a perfect sunny afternoon spent sitting outside and set the CD on play….. Then it began… Under Dark Skies… The first song Hold Your Own brings such a great Sabbath/Ozzy sound that just wakes you your senses and demands you take a listen. Great first song that has you looking forward to more. Patterns comes in next with an incredible drum and bass intro that just leads into an incredible rhythm that just sustains throughout the song. You are now just getting started and ready to rock and roll. Song 3 is Ignoramus and has a dark edgy sound with an exuberant build up that just delivers another well composed song. You continue on with Lead on and Mother that has me scouring the internet to find out when their next show is. I am starting to get cravings for their live shows! We saw them last year open for Slash [Read More]

December 7, 2012

It was less than a week ago that I was treated to the music of Red9.  They were chosen by Slash himself to open for him at his show at the Wiltern Theatre, Los Angeles on December 2, 2012.  They were great! I always love checking out the opening bands and I end up finding some of my favorite new music that way.  Red9 is a Southern California rock trio. Just because there are only 3, does not mean they do not deliver a huge sound! These guys are a powerhouse of rock and adrenaline. Jeff on bass really captivates you with his exploding bass lines and his vocals. Paul just exudes energy while he is ripping out blazing riffs. Gio [Read More]
