Countdown of 14 Bands that will rule 2014! 11 goes to We As Human

We are counting down the top 14 bands that we think will rule 2014. Today is our day 11 and we are pleased to present We As Human for that honor. We As Human have had quite a successful year with the release of their self titled debut album and toured extensively in 2013. This year was the first time I heard We As Human and they really became the talk of the scene and within weeks everyone was getting to know their name.

We were excited to catch them at the Aftershock Festival where they started the festival off with a kick ass in your face set. They were the first band of the day and everyone was rushing to get in to check them out after they hit the stage and played the first notes of their song. The crowd loved them and many came in not knowing who We As Human were, but left Aftershock with We As Human being one of their top festival highlights.  You can read our show review from Aftershock here.

They have continued their momentum but touring across the country sharing the stage with Filter, Skillet, Red, Shinedown, Papa Roach, In This Moment, Otherwise and many more.  They will be setting out on tour with Skillet for The Roadshow Tour which starts in January. Their self debuted album, We As Human is literally filled with incredible songs, definitely no fillers here. It is one hit after another and you can’t help but play it from start to finish.  Their first single Strike Back has received great airplay as well as a Nomination for GMA Dove Awards 2013 Rock Song of the Year.  Their music is emotionally driven lyrics to well crafted hard rock and definitely is one of our favorites. Vocalist Justin Cordle explains,  “We want out listeners to know that every word we sing, every word we say from the stage, comes from the core of who we are. It’s not just a show. We write about who we are, what we believe, and back that up with how we live our lives.”

You can head over it Itunes and pick up their self titled debut album that has had their single, “Strike Back” taking over the airwaves!  It is filled with great songs like “Zombie”, “Take the Bullets Away” and also the spectacular song “Sever” who Justin Cordle wrote “Sever” for his young nephew who died  from cancer.   This band defintely has a bright future and 2014 will continue to bring them great success as they share their music with all of us.
