The Goldbergs Show get picked up for a full season, Totally Wicked!

November 4, 2013

Yes, I know we mostly feature Music on here but I have to share the great news about my new favorite show! The Goldbergs has just been picked up for a full season and you know what, they do play some killer ’80s songs on there so it is music oriented! The days of the family sitcoms disappeared long ago. Reality TV seemed to take it’s place as well as the 20+ different CSI style shows. I do not have any regular shows I watch or feel compelled to watch on a weekly basis. Growing up in the ’80s family sitcoms were like dinners around a table. You just did it and you did it as a family. Friday and Saturday nights for me were spent with my family watching Love Boat, Fantasy Island and Happy Days and Laverne & Shirley. I loved those times. Well, guess what? The family tradition of watching a television show together, something that we can all enjoy, is back. We have been watching The Goldbergs together and it is [Read More]

November 1, 2013

It is Friday  night and it is time for Rock n Roll and time to PARTY, right?? You can check out the new video released by Steel Panther for their Rockin song, “Party Like Tomorrow Is The End Of The World” but be warned…. 18+ please! If you are not familiar with Steel Panther don’t watch if you think you are just going to see an ’80s rock style band with a cool video. Steel Panther may be completely politically incorrect but I will admit…. I LOVE THEM!!!  This video contains nudity, profanity, sex, drugs and rock and roll.   But what else would you do on the eve of the world ending??? So check it out….   So now that you LOVE that song, you can pick it up on Itunes here. We will be catching Steel Panther next Saturday at the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco.  So we will bring you more details next week. I will leave you with a slide show of the photos our Rockin Ryan took from Aftershock Festival 2013 [Read More]

The Halo Method takeover the Whisky a Go Go in Hollywood Nov. 7th!

November 1, 2013

The Halo Method is a rock band from Hollywood & Nashville and is definitely one you  have to be on the look out for. They are rapidly gaining recognition and I am so glad to see it all  happen. I first heard them a couple months back and put them on my list of bands to keep a close eye on. Well of course, things have been so busy that I haven’t taken the time to look at that list. Then, I heard their name again in an interview with Jonny  Hetherington of Art of Dying and was so glad I did. Even in those short months, they have accomplished a lot.  They have been busy working on their debut EP that will take the music world by storm. The Halo Method is Lukas Rossi (Rockstar Supernova), Ben Moody (Evanescence, We Are the Fallen), Dave Buckner (Papa Roach), and Josh Newell. Their music not only delivers a blend of hard rock, alternative, metal, goth and more, but their lyrics also tell incredible stories and take you on a journey through [Read More]

Jonny Hetherington of Art of Dying talks with us about pianos, Sinatra and new album!

November 1, 2013

Rockers, Art of Dying from Canada have a constant spot on my daily music playlist.  Their music not only kicks ass in rock n roll but also have such emotionally charged lyrics that many can connect and relate to.  I personally, have experienced the power of healing through music by listening to my favorite Art of Dying songs at one of the hardest times in my life. It truly is music to feed your soul wrapped in blazing rock and roll.  Art of Dying is Jonny Hetherington on Vocals, Greg Bradley on Guitar, Jeff Brown on Drums, Cale Gontier on Bass/Vocals and Tavis Stanley on Guitar and Vocals. Recently, frontman Jonny Hetherington has released piano versions of a couple of their songs. God For a Day, a heartfelt favorite of mine, is now available on Itunes. You can pick it up here as well as Best I Can which is amazing too!  We recently had the chance to talk with Jonny about his piano songs and what is next in store for Art of Dying. [Read More]
