March 8, 2014

Last month, we headed down to the Troubadour to cover Lara Gladstone’s Gutter n Grind event at the Troubadour in Hollywood. We were excited to know that Love and a .38 would be there as they never disappoint in putting on an amazing set. Sure enough, they were there to deliver straight up rock and roll to the crowd and everyone was feeling alive. Love and a .38 will always will have you under their rock and roll spell. Love and a .38 harnessed the energy of the crowd and fueled it with their own, to create an excitement that could not be ignored. Eddie Trunk of That Metal Show chats with Music Junkie Press about this week’s episode and more!

March 7, 2014

Today we had the chance to chat with Eddie Trunk, host of That Metal Show. Eddie has been one of my true idols, when it comes to his love for his music and the passion to share it with everyone.  Eddie has had quite a successful career in broadcasting with his Eddie Trunk Rocks, Eddie Trunk Rocks, etc.  It was great when he finally stepped in front of the camera for VH1 Classics That Metal Show in 2002. Today That Metal Show is in it’s 13th season and is a favored show by all. Last year we told you about how I went down to Los Angeles for the taping of two episodes from last year’s season and this year. It was fun to watch the behind the scenes of the show and everyone has so much fun. The energy and fun times definitely are shared by all, on and off camera. Truly a great bunch of guys. This week on That Metal Show legendary Mick Mars of Motley Crue will be the on-set guest [Read More]

DELTA ROSE and their new album will take you on a WILD RIDE!

March 7, 2014

One of, if not our Number 1 favorite band, Delta Rose has been busy working on their new music and guess what? It is going to blow your mind!  I had a chance to take a listen and I am telling you, get ready, strap your boots on and hold on tight because these boys are going to rock your world.   They have a new 6 song EP that they are finishing up and it is stellar, from start to finish. In a time when the lines of rock and roll have been blurred by genres, cores, subcores, crossovers, and so much more, Delta Rose answers my need for true rock and roll. Their rock and roll is infused with blues and groove that there is no way, you can listen to them and stand still. You just have to get up on your foot and move. This album shows how much this band has grown in 6+ years, each one perfecting their own art and have mastered their own style. You can feel [Read More]

Fire The Animal delivers a great set at the Troubadour for the Lara Gladstsone Gutter n Grind!

March 6, 2014

We had the opportunity to catch Los Angeles band, Fire The Animal as they performed at Lara Gladstone’s Gutter n Grind event at the Troubadour.  I love catching shows at the Troubadour because the musical history of the venue’s past seems to create an energy that you can’t ignore. Fire The Animal added to that energy with their charismatic set filled with an updated twist of classic rock. It was an awesome night as you can see by the footage and photos of Fire The Animal in the following tribute video made by Rockin Ryan.   The song in the video is “Do Me Like You Do” and it is one of my personal faves. The song is off of their EP, Quadrihead and you can pick it up here. While you are at it, make sure to pick up some of their cool band merchandise from their page here. Make sure to visit their social media sites so you can stay up to date on their latest news. Check out the slide show also [Read More]

Decoded has just released their music video for their catchy song, Red Handed. Topanga was recorded at The Fortress and Kingsize Soundlabs and mixed and mastered by David Rieley.  You can head over to decoded‘s Facebook page or their bandcamp page and download it now.
