The Lad Classic delivers straight up rock and roll, no chaser needed!

March 24, 2014

The Lad Classic is a four piece rock band from Toronto, Canada. They are here to deliver straight up Rock n Roll, no chaser needed!  The Lad Classic is  Paul Stevens on  Vocals, Ben Healey on Guitar, Mark Rynkun on Bass and Josiah Whitney on Drums. Check out their video for their song for Cadillac Jack here:   That song is so good, love the great modern pre-chorus into a powerful 80’s rocker scream. The guitars have a bluesy GnR Izzy Stradlin feel to it and pumps out a catchy riff. The vocals truly are smooth yet powerful. Drums and Bass mix in very well and complete the rhythm. I am definitely looking forward to checking out their new EP, Thunder which was released last week. You can pick up the EP on Itunes here. Make sure to visit their social media sites and check out this great band. We will see if we can bring you an interview as well as an album review. ~ Marisol   Information & Links: Website: www.theladclassic.com Facebook:  www.facebook.com/theladclassic Twitter: www.twitter.com/theladclassic Itunes: https://itunes.apple.com/ca/album/thunder/id829752251 Youtube: www.youtube.com/user/TheLadClassic

The Deadlies is our Bottle Rock Napa 2014 Featured Band of the Day

March 24, 2014

Today our Bottle Rock Napa Featured Band is The Deadlies. For today, we wanted the spotlight on a local band with a big sound! You may have already seen or heard them play but were not familiar with them. The Deadlies can be described as a California surf punk/rock band with a little Honky Tonk and Country thrown in.  One thing is for sure, when you listen to The Deadlies, you can’t help but move around and have some fun! They are “paying homage to the Ventures Dick Dale and the Chantays as well as the California Honky-tonk sound of Buck Owens and Dwight Yoakam while keeping an under lying presence of the California surf punk scene that brought us the Dickies, Agent Orange and Top Jimmy and the Rhythm Pigs.” The Deadlies are the “Cave Band” on “Creepy KOFY Movietime”, the “house band” at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo and their music has been featured on Live 105, 107.7FM the Bone (San Francisco), 99.3FM KVYN (Napa) and 810AM KGO (San Francisco).
