Celldweller releases video trailer for upcoming new album, End of an Empire – Chapter 01: Time

August 14, 2014

Klayton Celldweller is gearing up for the release of his new album End of an Empire – Chapter 01: Time next month on September 16th. The album will feature 5 new original tracks along with remixes from Breathe Carolina, Comaduster, KJ Sawka and OCTiV. Featuring monolithic vocal tracks of epic scope, this release highlights Klayton’s unique fusion of infectious electronic music with aggressive rock & roll the way only Celldweller can – by blurring the lines between organic and synthetic. The title track “End of an Empire” takes listeners on a 7.5 minute dichotic journey of metal-infused drum & bass blasts, and a contrasting mix of lush vocal hooks and aggressive screams. “Lost in Time” clocks in with another 7 minutes of vocoded vocals, driving guitar riffs and pulsing ethereal synths, concluding with the fading lyric “this feeling will never die.” Check out the video trailer for the upcoming album here: You can pre-order the album through FiXT and  iTunes. Check out the track listing here:   Make sure to visit the social media sites and stay up to date [Read More]

Maggie Szabo rocks LA and then heads for New York (but she’ll be back) by Patrick O’Heffernan

August 14, 2014

Maggie Szabo left fans at the Silverlake Lounge with a lightning bolt of a parting shot before heading off to a recording session in New York Monday night.  A high energy, beat-driven eight-song set, finished off with her hit single “Tidal Waves and Hurricanes” kept the packed club moving and dancing.  Sparks and flames were practically flying out of Maggie and her band she was so on. I have seen Maggie live three times, most recently at the Hotel Café in February, and she has grown and improved orders of magnitude – and she was top rated to start with.  Her band  Monday night–  regular drummer  Sam Campbell, the kick-ass Kyle Calvillo on lead guitar, Steven Shook on rhythm guitar and Sonny Kennelly on bass – were so tight they moved with Maggie without a nanometer between them.  They showed a Grammy-level of professionalism that was a joy to watch. Maggie was among friends at the Lounge – part of her huge and constantly growing fan base – as she shouted out to various [Read More]

August 14, 2014

It is time to check out a  new video from The Killing Lights. As we told you last year, The Killing Lights is the new chapter for music by Michael Vampire. They released a new video for Lies Spread Like Fire that is awesome.  “I am beyond excited to finally release the ‘Lies Spread Like Fire’ video,” said Michael. “We all fight our own demons from time to time, and this is about standing up after the fight. We wanted to keep it as raw as possible, which I feel we achieved using L.A. street culture as the main storyline and aesthetic. This video is for all the fans and people that have stuck with me this past year. Together we will change everything.” Check out the new video, Lies Spread Like Fire The Killing Lights have recorded a self-produced, self-titled five-song EP which they plan to initially release for FREE to fans in September. August 14, 2014

Eyes Set To Kill have just announced the Little Liar Tour which is scheduled for October. The tour is sponsored by APP Presents and will also feature Scare Don’t Fear and Like Monroe. They are currently out on the MASKS Tour sponsored by Coldcock Whiskey and have quite a tour schedule ahead. They have been non stop touring since the release of their current album, MASKS which has become one of our favorites!  There is no stopping for these energetic young musicians who are set to kick off another string of tour dates. It is awesome to see Scare Don’t Fear on the lineup as well since they performed all summer long at Warped Tour on the Kevin Says stage. They have really been garnering a lot of well deserved attention after being the first band signed to KBB Records, the new label by Asking Alexandria’s Ben Bruce and Kyle Borman. Also on the lineup is one of our personal faves, Like Monroe who are ready to hit the road. They are definitely going to bring a [Read More]
