Asking Alexandria release music video for Moving On

August 28, 2014

Today Asking Alexandria released a music video for their song, Moving On. The song definitely highlights the versatility of the band as it brings out a stadium style rock ballad to life. It is definitely one of my favorites. Check out the video here: Asking Alexandria have been busy touring and were on the Rockstar Mayhem Festival. They will continue to be busy as they will be touring in Europe for most of the fall. We are looking forward to new music and hope they announce another US tour. Earlier this year, they made a stop at The Senator Theater in Chico for the Break Down the Walls Tour. They were awesome and full of non stop energy. You can check out our full coverage here: Asking Alexandria Chico show. If you were hoping for more of their heavy music, check out this tribute video that Rockin Ryan made from footage of their past shows he covered:: I will leave you with also the slideshow of bad ass photos from Rockin Ryan of their Chico set and stay tuned [Read More]

Sirens and Sailors have van broken into while out on tour overseas, all items stolen!

August 28, 2014

Metal hardcore band, Sirens & Sailors from New York are currently out on tour in Europe with To Kill Achilles and Archetype, and have endured a break in of their tour van. For any touring band, being away from home and having this happen is devastating. Now imagine it happening in another country, so far from home! Please read their recent post on their Facebook page and see how you can help: * * * * Ladies and Gentlemen, if you would be so kind as to please take the time to read this, it could make a gigantic difference in our lives today. It is every bands nightmare to come back to their van and see that it has been broken into and robbed, and today that nightmare has become reality for us. To add to it, we are overseas in completely foreign territory feeling more helpless than ever. Every single dollar we brought with us, every single penny that we have earned over the past month of touring overseas has been stolen. Licenses, [Read More]

12 Days of Bands You Have to Know

Interview with Pushing The Sun as they play the Phoenix Theater

August 28, 2014

Just last year, we featured Pushing The Sun on our 12 Days of Bands You Have To Know. In case you missed it, check it out here: Day 10 goes to Pushing The Sun. This is one band that really made an impression upon us from first seeing them perform at the Rockstar Uproar Festival in 2013. They are a heavy hard rock band fused with catchy melodies and emotionally driven lyrics. Their motto, Their motto, “We will light up your life, we have fire in our hands!” definitely rings true. Last Friday, we headed to the historic Phoenix Theater to catch their set and as I mentioned with our coverage of Approaching Fiction, it tended to be a light night for the crowd. That in no way stopped Pushing the Sun from delivering their adrenaline fueled set. They took the stage and fiercely rocked the theater! Andrew Saman is captivating on vocals as he creates a strong connection delivering such emotion with each word. He is powerful yet vulnerable, he is heavy yet comforting, he [Read More]

August 28, 2014

As you know when MTV came out, every band couldn’t wait to make their music videos and the outcome was an abundance of music videos trying to tell a story within 3 to 4 minutes and sometimes on an extreme budget. With the help of Youtube, it has allowed all of us to relive our youth by watching the old music videos, sometimes we look back and wonder what we saw in so many of those videos. How about the video for Separate Ways by Journey, do you remember that one? Alternative rockers, Glass Delirium, whom do an excellent live cover of the song, decided to recreate the Separate Ways video, shot for shot. It is great! Check it out here: Job well done Glass Delirium! Drummer, Pat Anderson shares about the video,  “You know a lot of bands cover this song, and they do a great job. It really is a great song! When the idea came up to have us do a shot for shot remake of the video, we lost it! When [Read More]

Electronic

Check out the new song by Evanescence’s Amy Lee

August 27, 2014

Evanescence’s Amy Lee shows a very different side of her music to her fans with the release of her song, Push The Button which is featured on Aftermath, the soundtrack for the movie War Story which is currently available on iTunes here. The song brings delicious blend of tones in an electronic ambient infused track. The track was created by Amy as the film director struggled to find the right music for a particular scene. Amy explains, “It’s very different for me, it’s electronic. I did it all myself, which was crazy, because I’m used to engineering and writing and mixing demos in my house, but being responsible for that being the end product was a new challenge for me, It was like ‘This is it, I’m mixing this.’” Amy makes her film score debut with Aftermath Check out her song Push The Button here: We may be hearing a lot more from Amy as she is set on showing different sides of herself through her music.   Here is another video that features a [Read More]
