Chrysalide release, Question Everything from their upcoming album, Personal Revolution

October 7, 2014

French industrial band, Chrysalide who are definitely not new to to scene, are finally getting the attention they deserve here in the US. Their sound reminds me of fresh new blend of Powerman5000 meets Davey Suicide with a side Skinny Puppy. Their new album Personal Revolution is due out on October 14th via Dependent. They have released their first single off the album, Question Everything. Check it out here: Chrysalide states, “Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the 21st century, the century of all crisis: political, moral, economical, ecological and individual. It is now 14 years old, but it is already old and dying. As never before, the world has access to so much knowledge, and in the same time, as never before, the world knows so much mediocrity. To sum up: This world is totally fucked up.” You can pre-order Personal Revolution by visiting here: http://www.stormingthebase.com/chrysalide-personal-revolution-cd/#oid=1002_2.  Make sure to visit their social media sites and stay up to date on their latest news. ~ Marisol Information & Links: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/chrysalide.audiotrauma Twitter: https://twitter.com/noize_guerilla

Ice Nine Kills release poignant and moving acoustic video for Jonathan

October 6, 2014

Ice Nine Kills have completely captured my attention tonight as I watched their newly released acoustic video for Jonathan. The traditionally melodic heavy band show their emotional soft side as they truly deliver a moving and poignant video which features Jonathan, a handsome young man who suffers from a rare mitochondrial disease. The video will surely be beneficial in raising awareness to find a cure for mitochondrial disorder which could impact cures for Autism, Parkinson’s, Alzheimers, Muscular Dystrophy. As I watch my mom suffer through her advanced stages of Parkinson’s, I can only hope to one day find a cure which will help others as they battle these diseases and ease their suffering. Check out the video here for Jonathan: Spencer explains more about the song, Jonathan, “‘Jonathan’ is probably the most important song this band has ever created. It’s written from the perspective of my good friend Jonathan, whose sight is being slowly stolen from him by a terrible disease called mitochondrial disorder. We hope his story of unrelenting strength in the face of progressive blindness [Read More]

Matty: We have all known each other one way or another for a few years before forming the band. I guess it all just came together from a few small conversations, a couple of ideas that were agreed on and we all wanted in. DND: How’d you decide you wanted to be a [Read More]
