Alter Bridge returns to San Francisco for a packed house at The Warfield!

October 28, 2014

The drive down to San Francisco this past Saturday was filled with cranky drivers maneuvering the streets sprinkled with the first rain. We made sure to head down early since Game 4 of the World Series was being held at the AT&T park and we were not going to let anything get in our way of seeing Alter Bridge at The Warfield. We made it to the venue as the line was beginning to wrap around Market St. It was great to see the heavy turnout arriving pre-show to make sure they caught Like A Storm and California Breed, both delivering spectacular sets. Alter Bridge hit the stage and the crowd went wild. They treated everyone to a 17 song set inclusive of fan favorites as well as many new songs off their recent release, Fortress. The crowd was filled with fans of all ages and the energy in The Warfield intensified with each song. The vocals of Myles are spot on and proves why he is still my all time favorite vocalist. California Breed gave me chills with their straight up ROCKIN set in San Francisco

October 28, 2014

This past weekend I was so glad to make it down to San Francisco for the Alter Bridge show at The Warfield. I have been counting the days and especially because the bill was complete with three bad ass bands! In addition to Like A Storm, we were ecstatic to finally catch a live set of California Breed, the latest project of legendary Glenn Hughes and the young extremely talented guitarist Andrew Watt. We weren’t able to catch the bad ass drumming of newly announced (live performance) drummer, ex Queens of the Stone Age/ Eagles of Death Metal Joey Castillo as he was committed to another show date but none the less, it was fantastic! The music that the three created was a larger than life sound that is a must to see live. The intensity and passion that each bring to the stage is mesmerizing. Glenn’s vocals literally gave me chills. He has one of those voices that can sing a page out of the phonebook and have it sound as sweet as molasses. [Read More]

The Convalescence make a stop in San Francisco with their fierce death metal set at DNA Lounge

October 28, 2014

Last week we caught the fierce death metal set by The Convalescence at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco. They delivered their deathcore set as they opened for As Blood Runs Black on their Ground Zero Album Release Tour. It was awesome to see them bring their theatrical deathcore makeup and they had the crowd in a ferocious state, complete with intense moshing and circle pits. If you  have ever been to the Above DNA stage, you know that space can be limited but there was no holding back for them. They gave a 150% of their energy and the crowd returned it twice as hard! Check out the photos by our Rockin Ryan of their set: You can also pick up their latest release as we did, The Process at their shows or on iTunes here. The tour just started so there are plenty more dates left for you to get out to a show!   Information & Links: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/theconvalescence iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/the-process/id865342808

Like A Storm return to San Francisco with a spectacular crowd pleasing set!

October 27, 2014

From the first time I saw Like A Storm perform as the opening act for Alter Bridge in 2011 at the Regency Ballroom, I knew this was one band to watch out for. They just had the most amazing energy and a stage presence well beyond their young years. Fast forward to 2014 and they have really become one of the bands to truly take over 2014. They have been busy doing some non stop touring and still have more dates ahead. Well this past weekend it was a déjà vu moment as Like A Storm returned to San Francisco as support for Alter Bridge. This time they took the stage at the legendary Warfield Theater. It was a packed house and once again Like A Storm came out and delivered a non-stop energetic set that had everyone know who they were! They rocked the place and it is amazing to see how the crowd was purely engaged with them. Check out the photos by our Rockin Ryan of their set: What an incredible night and [Read More]
