Me Vs. Hero release video for their hopeful, reflective track, Hang in

October 17, 2014

Pop punks Me Vs. Hero have released a music video for their song, Hang In which is off of their new album, I’m Completely Fine which was release in September and you can pick it up on iTunes here. “This songs means a lot to us” explains Thompson of the new track “It’s literally about hanging in there when times get bad. At one point when we wrote this record there was a three month period where I was homeless. I had three big bags for all my stuff and had no idea where I was sleeping most nights. The song is an accurate depiction of his life at that point. It’s something that, if you go through, you will make sure never happens again.”  Check out the video here: The song is the perfect track to get you through those challenges and struggles which we face and think that we can never overcome. Sometimes looking back at all the things you have been through, gives you right amount of strength to get over the next hurdle. [Read More]

October 16, 2014

Dante from Bogota, Colombia are ready to serve you up some hard hitting rock with their new video for their song, Deadman’s Curve. The song starts right off with some twangy saloon rock guitars and then the deepest engaging vocals (almost like a punk rock Johnny Cash style) set right in. It has a fist in the air anthem style chant and swirling guitars amid a fast tempo that will have your heart beat racing as it takes you on a wild ride. Ghost Season new EP Ghosts Like Her will definitely grab your attention

October 16, 2014

Ghost Season from Athens, Greece definitely caught my attention with their new EP, Ghosts Like Her. The five song EP delivers a true taste of the talents of this band. They can be described as a blend of metal, progressive and hard rock. Their EP starts right off with the fierce track, Alive and that is exactly how you feel when you are smacked in the face with those heavy guitars and a beat that just has you headbanging throughout. Those drums! I love the intensity and the dueling guitars just kick ass and we can’t forget to mention that epic guitar solo. The melodic vocals have a great 80’s rock vibe without overdoing it. They at times remind me of a lovechild of Stone Temple Pilots, Queensryche and Bullet For My Valentine yet in no way imitate. These guys have created their own unique sound that will soon have everyone taking notice of them and come to love Ghost Season. Ghosts Like Her once again delivers those guitars that just grab you.   Like Monroe have just released their new album, Things We Think, But Never Speak earlier this week and it has already been receiving a lot of high praise. I absolutely love the new energy on it and it is fierce!  They have also released a video for their song, The Hills which was directed by Aaron Marsh (Of Mice and Men).  “Working with Aaron was a no brainer,” says guitarist Chris Deckard. “He was an easy choice! He was present during the writing process and has been a part of this project since the very beginning.” Check out the new video here:  The song is also getting a lot of airplay on XM Sirius Octane channel and these guys truly deserve all the great attention. The Eeries continue to be an amazing crowd pleasing opener for Gerard Way’s tour

October 16, 2014

We recently told you about the awesome Gerard Way concert at the legendary Fillmore in San Francisco. You can read more about that here: Gerard Way at the Fillmore.  What I really wanted to tell you more about, is the opening band on his tour, The Eeries. We had the chance to catch them perform at  Aftershock Festival in Sacramento and I was glad to see them again. They were incredible and were definite crowd pleasers.   Their impressive set was energetic from start to finish. The guitarist/vocalist, Isaiah was recovering from pneumonia but with the intensity and passion he brought to the stage, there was no evidence of being sick. He was spot on and had that crowd fired up for each song. Their sound reminded me of a blend of Nirvana and Beck. This is one band I strongly urge you to check out, they are well deserving of your attention! . Check out some killer photos by our Rockin Ryan of their set:   The Eeries have definitely been one of the hottest bands of 2014 and [Read More]
