Within The Ruins have serious van accident, no major injuries

February 16, 2015

We were getting excited to catch Within The Ruins as they are set to tour with Suicide Silence, Emmure and Fit For An Autopsy for the month long tour. We will be heading out to see Suicide Silence but we will miss Within The Ruins in Sacramento as they have to sit out the first couple shows of the tour due to a serious van accident. It has been reported that they flipped their van and trailer off an interstate in Pennsylvania yesterday afternoon. It was great news to hear that no one was hurt but their van, trailer and gear were completely destroyed. Guitarist Joe Cocchi reports,  “We rolled about three times from what I can remember and landed on the median. Our van and trailer are totaled. All I can say is that we’re happy to be alive. I don’t know how, but none of us were injured. We’re on the road touring because this is all we know and love, and we want to continue. Help us get back on our feet by picking [Read More]

Interview with Bumblefoot as we talk about his solo album, Little Brother is Watching

February 16, 2015

Guitar virtuoso extraordinaire, singer/songerwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer, Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal is set to release his 10th CD, Little Brother Is Watching on February 24th. We had the chance to chat with Bumblefoot before he set off overseas. Check out our interview here: The album is an eccentric, upbeat collection of modern epic rock with haunting melodies, huge choruses and witty lyrics about life in the digital age and beyond. Specifically, his own life and coming to terms with what we all face – beginnings, endings, and moving on. The album was composed, produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by Bumblefoot at his studio in New Jersey, and also features drummer Dennis Leeflang and a crowd of 100 fans stomping, chanting and singing backing vocals recorded at a listening party in New York.  The album’s first single and title track “Little Brother Is Watching” is now available digitally. Ready for a new group of young gun, guitar slingin’, heavy drinkin’, rockers? I present to you… Ashes of Our Sins. Four hot-to-trot headbangers take to the scene in Philadelphia, PA. With influences of Mötley Crüe and Crashdïet, they adorn the hair metal look and sound. Recently Drift & Die Press sat down and interviewed the band. Make sure to pick up Ashes of Our Sins’ debut EP Born In Blood coming soon!   DND: What’s the general concept & mission of Ashes of Our Sins?  Izzy Addams: That’s the best question you’ve asked so far! We want this to be fun. For us, for the fans, and for everyone. Just because this is a business doesn’t mean you can’t have fun while doing it. We’ll never be the band that goes on stage and just stare at our shoes while we play. Fuck that!  Tommy Hayze: Our mission is to not be the band this scene deserves, but the band the rock scene needs.  Austin Balthaser: To create and play the music we love [Read More]
