Seasons After release Lights Out video

February 9, 2015

Seasons After have returned with their first commercial release in four years and it is a bad ass album! Their album, Calamity, Scars and Memoirs features Tony Housh (vocals), Chris Dawson (guitar), Jim Beattie (lead guitar), Tim Rails (drums) and Jesse Saint (bass). This album features the strongest work to date for this band, truly exhibiting how they have grown, strengthened and evolved musically and personally. It is a bad ass album featuring fierce guitars, powerful vocals, emotionally driven lyrics and so much more. They have just released their new video for Lights Out and frontman Tony explains more about the song, “’Lights Out’ was written as an expression of the discontentment toward a situation that we had no control over. Writing music is our way of visiting a shrink. We don’t take Prozac.  We write a fucking song! We were venting I guess you could say. So as you can imagine when it became the song to roll out with it was a little surprising to us all.  Now that we are back on the [Read More]

Check out the stunning video for Waterfall by Smashing Satellites

February 9, 2015

Smashing Satellites is the new music project by Salvatore Costa, whom you may know as the bad ass guitarist from My Darkest Days. After leaving MDD Sal was ready to dive into his own music and follow his dreams. What blossomed from that departure is the welcoming fresh new sound of Smashing Satellites. They have  a ’80’s retro vibe but with a modern flair. Once you take a listen, you will get hooked. Sal’s vocals are compelling and inviting and places him exactly where he belongs, front and center! They have recently released their video for Waterfall which is visually stunning. The song is definitely one of my favorites as Salvatore explains about the song, “There are times in life where we all struggle with fear, depression and anxiety… we feel as though we are drowning. Sometimes it is not just about overcoming the fear and swimming to the surface but rather learning how to survive that time in the water.”    The video was filmed in a frigid cold shark tank and is absolutely breathtaking. Quick chat with The Sex Tape Scandal at NAMM 2015

February 8, 2015

One of the great things about getting out to NAMM in addition to checking out all the amazing new instruments, is running into exciting new bands. This time we had the pleasure of meeting The Sex Tape Scandal from Southern California. They are four bad ass rockers who are making a statement with their signature style blending 80’s glam, metal, classic hard rock and modern hard core = Glamcore.  It is a great fresh new sound that will bite you and have you hooked from the start. Their infectious energy and signature sound will keep you coming back for more! We had the chance to briefly chat with them at NAMM 2015 and are pleased to bring you that interview here:   We got their new EP, Pretty Ugly and it has since become a regular on our daily playlist. It fuckin rocks! It is as if someone came along to the so-called ROCK IS DEAD scene and took a pair of paddles from a defibrillator cranked at maximum velocity, and jump started the life back [Read More]
