Franki Love opens her heart with her new song, Walking Wounded

March 30, 2015

Singer/songwriter Franki Love truly opens her heart with her new single, Walking Wounded. The beautiful emotionally driven song will feed your soul with her inspiring song. The song is off her upcoming album, OTIAS which is set for release later this year. Franki explains about the song to Cliche magazine: “I wrote ‘Walking Wounded’ late one night at the piano, After my mom passed away from cancer, I was being mentored by music producer Phil Ramone who encouraged me to sit at the piano and start writing. I wrote this song about how we’re all connected as one – if one person is hurting, then we are all walking wounded.” “I’m hoping that when people hear the song, they’ll feel inspired and connected to it.” Check out the song here: Franki’s passion for music started early as she began playing music at the young age of four. She is a classically trained pianist and she so easily captures her emotion when she performs. She is like the warmth of comforting hug and her voice brings out [Read More]

Watch PALAYE ROYALE at the Boom Boom Room and see why I love them!

March 30, 2015

I know I have been telling you a lot about how hooked I am on Palaye Royale. Most recently, their song Get Higher kept me sane through my pre-surgery jitters recently. Truly music that soothed my soul and made me feel so invigorated! Now you can check out Palaye Royale LIVE AT BOOM BOOM ROOM here: It was just about a year ago when  PALAYE ROYALE made history as becoming the only unsigned band to be nominated and WIN the MTV Musical March Madness. Ever since, they have been garnering a lot of attention for as we dubbed them,  “The Best Indie Rock Band out Today That You Have to Hear“. I hope that if you haven’t checked them out, you do so NOW! I will leave you with their video for Get Higher.   Isn’t that an awesome song? I love  PALAYE ROYALE! The vocals are sexy, the music is energetic, it is like rock mixed with psychelic blues and a side of punk.  This hard working band is truly hands on with their [Read More]

The Vantage release music video for Place In The Water

March 30, 2015

Austin based indie pop duo The Vantage may have just released what has become my new Go To song. Their new song, Place In The Water is one of those tracks that is like that moment in Ratatouille where the food critic takes one bite of the meal made by the rat, and he is instantly taken back to a specific memory in time. That hasn’t happened in a while for me, and it was so awesome to have that feeling when I first listened to their new song. It literally brought me back to my twenty something years in the 90’s and we would head to a cool club in San Francisco, the Paradise Lounge. It had four separate stages in the venue that would feature live music from electronic, pop, alternative, punk and modern rock. It was a haven of happiness for many of us. The music would infuse us with hopes and dreams and capture our innocence with fun playful alternative pop tracks. That is what this song brings to me. Now they [Read More]

The Family Ruin prove they are a set not to miss!

March 30, 2015

We were excited to see The Family Ruin on the Ashes To Ashes Tour. We have been featuring this amazing rock band from the UK since they were first announced on KBB Records last year. We brought you our review of their kick ass album, Dearly Departed which was released last September and once again we were excited to catch them live! One thing is for sure, they delivered another amazing kick ass set. This time they were at the Ace of Spades for their first time in Sacramento. The crowd loved them! I love it when a band that I really enjoy listening to can match the same intensity of their music as they do live on stage. This is one band that definitely has no problem conquering that battle. They blew us away with their contagious energy and had the crowd on their feet rockin out. Check out photos of their set by our Rockin Ryan:   From the moment they hit the stage and until they walked off to greet fans at their merch [Read More]
