Dead Asylum release new video for Forgotten Sacrifice

March 30, 2015

Metal/thrash band Dead Asylum have just released a new music video for their song, Forgotten Sacrifice. The dark video was directed and produced by Joshua Keith Young who comments, “The creative team wanted to make sure the video told a story but embodied the band’s personality as well. ‘Forgotten Sacrifice’ does a great job of featuring the band while telling a captivating and dramatic story that will affect people on an emotional level. Those words don’t often come to mind when describing a metal video, but the cast and crew are confident that when viewers see what’s being held captive in a barren dog crate, they’ll likely feel the same.” The video is dark and suspenseful with great visuals and a storyline that captures the band’s headbanging message in support of their debut album ‘General Carnage’ released in 2013, which is available on iTunes and CD Baby. Check the video out here: Vocalist/Guitarist Mike Lister comments, “We had a disturbingly fun time filming the video. All the actors and crew were great and unbelievably professional. Jeremy Spencer announces opening of PHAZE Laser Tattoo Removal Studio in Las Vegas

March 30, 2015

This Friday Five Finger Death Punch co-founder and drummer Jeremy Spencer will open the inaugural location of PHAZE LASER TATTOO REMOVAL.  Spencer will be on-site most of the day as the business opens its doors at 1131 East Tropicana at Maryland Parkway.  Spencer was sixteen when he got his first ink.  A decade later, he came to the realization Yosemite Sam wasn’t a tattoo he wanted, so he had his first experience with tattoo laser removal. Even though he had numbing injections, the experience was tedious and painful.  Now covered from fingertip to earlobes with colorful ink, as he prepares to open his new business in his hometown of Las Vegas, Spencer shares, “People sometimes regret having a tattoo with a former lover’s name, or one that was poorly executed.  It’s called tattoo regret.  Like me, they may want the old one faded enough to have new ink covering the original or removed completely.  There are all types of lasers of varying degrees of quality.  Poor quality machines require many sessions and some even lead to [Read More]

Soulful psychadelic rockers The Highway release new video for Lose Control

March 27, 2015

Imagine if a time machine took Beck back in time and he was the vocalist for The Doors. I would think they might sound like the soulful psychadelic rockers The Highway from Brooklyn, New York. They have a creative style to their rock which brings out this aura of psychadelic groove that has you nodding in agreement at first listen. They have just released a video for their song, Lose Control which is off their upcoming album, Enter To Exit. The new album is due out on April 14th and check out the video here: I love how the music literally takes you away on a magical psychedelic ride. Kaleidoscope by Joanna Borromeo: a must for jazz/ R&B fans and a delicious dessert for the rest of us. By Patrick O’Heffernan

March 27, 2015

Joanna Borromeo is an enigma – a good one.  She can make you think, cry and dance , sometimes all at once, sometimes s on different songs on a single album and sometimes in a single song.  She writes and sings what is best described (and how she describes it) as alt. blues and R&B. She combines blues, rock, hip hop, gospel  and jazz in a way is comfortable in a blues venue, a jazz club, a hip hop scene or a rock showcase as well as in the studio.   In live performances, she centers the stage with her keyboard and  wows audiences and critics with a cream- smooth voice and lively songwriting. Her recorded songs equal the live shows in intensity and wallop.  Awesome is an overused word, but listening to Joanna Borromeo is exactly that – and awesome experience with an awesome talent. It is not surprising that this album was nominated for a Juno Award as the best R&B recording in Canada and that her very first album hit the top ten [Read More]
