The Karma Killers; high energy rock highlight of Vans Warped Tour

June 25, 2015

Vans Warped Tour has an amazingly diverse lineup this year and there is definitely something for everyone at the festival.  The only problem might be that so many bands are playing at the same time and you wish you could clone yourself so you don’t miss all the great sets.  One of our highlights of Vans Warped Tour is the kick ass band, The Karma Killers. Hailing from New Jersey is this punk infused rock/pop band that will soon become one of your favorites. We caught them on the Ernie Ball stage and they just tore it up. Their non stop energy drew the crowd in as you couldn’t walk away from this non-stop rock. They even got the crowd all riled up with a stellar cover of Rockaway Beach by the Ramones. They have excellent stage presence and I couldn’t help but hope for a longer set, but as you know on Warped Tour; time is limited. Check out photos from our Rockin Ryan of their set: You can pick up their debut EP, [Read More]

Lights That Change release music video for ethereal dream pop track, Voices

June 25, 2015

Lights That Change truly bring out an ethereal mix of dream pop and colorful ambient atmosphere with their new video for Voices. Check out the hauntingly yet inviting track here: The video was created by filmographer Jason Sheppard who comments, “I listened to the track hundreds of times to get a solid feel for the music. Images fell into place in my mind and then I reproduced them on the screen. This has a lovely gothic feel to the sound but also a soundtrack theme to it. A soundtrack to your life.”  This track features Mal Holmes of OMD and Rebecca Palin of Golden Fable, and is the first single from the band’s debut LP‘Byzantium’, to be released later this summer.   Make sure to visit their social media sites and stay up to date on their latest news.   ~ Marisol Information & Links: Website: http://lightsthatchange.co.uk/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/LightsThatChange Twitter: https://twitter.com/lightsthatchang

Hellyeah ready for Mayhem Fest and are bringing awareness and a message of hope for domestic abuse

June 25, 2015

Hellyeah are gearing up for their first show on the Mayhem Festival this weekend. They will be hitting the main stage at 7:05 each night and I hope you don’t miss them. We will be seeing them this Sunday at Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View. Hellyeah have teamed up with  with domestic abuse prevention organization NO MORE.  In their #HushNoMore campaign they have been sending messages of hope and support to survivors of domestic abuse.  The band released their music video for HUSH in April. This song and music video tell the story of frontman Chad Gray’s personal life experience dealing with family violence. Check out the video here: It is an amazing song that captures the depth of pain and emotion of experiencing family violence. It brings a voice to those who may remain silent and it also brings hope to those who might feel helpless. These are the memories in me, you didn’t wanna know, you didn’t wanna know, These are the memories we keep, we don’t wanna show, we don’t wanna show, but now at [Read More]

Like Monroe will have you hooked on their cover of Tove Lo’s Talking Body

June 24, 2015

Like Monroe have just posted their cover of Talking Body by Tove Lo and I absolutely LOVE IT!!  It creates a great fresh new sound for a song that I might not have appreciated before. I love the energy they deliver and it still carries such a depth of emotion and sultriness amid the heaviness. Check it out here:   We are looking forward to some tour announcements as we can’t wait to get Like Monroe back out here to California for some shows.
