Vesuvius releases new single and lyric video, This House Is Not A Home

June 22, 2015

Vesuvius, four piece metal band from Ottowa have just released their new single as well as a lyric video. The song is This House Is Not A Home and highlights melodic riff guitars and a range of vocals that will capture your attention. Benjamin Cooligan  comments, “‘This House is Not a Home’ serves as a first installment of a vast excursion spanning many personal experiences and viewpoints. The lyrics are an excerpt from a writing crafted during the darkest period of my life. The recording process was by far the most emotional that we as musicians have faced to date. Hopefully the message we have come to share can apply personally to each and every one of you.”  Check out the video here:   Make sure to check out their social media sites so you can stay up to date on their latest news. ~ Marisol Information & Links: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/wearevsuvs Twitter: https://twitter.com/VSUVS Merch: http://vsuvs.storenvy.com/

Interview: Janani Vaidyanathan – a hardworking, hard rocking alt rock woman on a roll. By Patrick O’Heffernan

June 22, 2015

There must be something in the water in Orlando Florida.  This Disneyesque town in central Florida has produced the Backstreet Boys, NSync, Matchbox Twenty, C-Note, Katherine Rodriguez, and last week on Music FridayLive! talked with Alex Baugh, the founder of the fast-rising Crazy Carls.  And then I discovered JANANI, another Orlando- based band with fabulous musical chops and a kick-ass frontwoman/cofounder, Janani Vaidyanathan .   Relatively new on the scene, JANANI didn’t release a full EP until last year, Three Step System EP, produced and partially co-written by Brett Hestla, formerly of Creed. But then they took off.   The EP’s single, “Where Was I?” took flight and the band was selected to compete in the Top 8 for the Hard Rock Rising Orlando competition. It has just been tapped to perform at the Cutting Edge Music Conference this August. Their new single “Hey! Mister” is getting spins on radio stations from Canada to Orlando and the song’s music video was aired by Comcast and the Indie Music Channel and featured in DIRECTTV’s documentary, Gone Until December.   “Run [Read More]

Bad Seed Rising takes their new generation of rock to the top

June 19, 2015

We brought you our full coverage of Red’s Of Beauty and Rage Tour as it made a stop in San Francisco yesterday at the DNA Lounge. You can check out our concert review here: DNA Lounge rocks with Red, Adelita’s Way and Bad Seed Rising. We were really excited to get to check out firsthand Bad Seed Rising. We heard of them last year and followed them as they became the youngest band to sign to Roadrunner Records. From the first time I heard them, I was blown away by their energetic youthful straight up rock sound. They took to the stage and at first glance, you may think you are looking at just another  young teen garage band, but then the second they started, you couldn’t help but smile widely as they infected the room with ROCK! They meant business and there are well beyond their years as musicians. Francheska on vocals is amazing. She is the true personification of the new generation of rock. She has the spunk of a young Joan Jett, [Read More]

Trapt release new single Passenger and catch them out on tour this summer

June 18, 2015

California Rockers TRAPT have returned with a new release of their song, Passenger. The new single is off their upcoming album, DNA. Vocalist Chris Taylor Brown comments on the song, ““Passenger” is an important song to TRAPT and the self-empowerment message it spreads. Always looking to someone else to “get you there” will never get you anywhere, as only the individual knows what is best for them. We have all been a “Passenger” at some point or another, because it’s easy to feel lost. Just know that everyone else feels this way too, even when they say they know where they are going. What separates each and every one of us, is whether or not we have the strength to actually take the wheel and put our lives into our own hands, even when we are lost. Especially when we are lost! It’s the only way to find out who we really are.” Check out the new song here: In addition, TRAPT will be heading out on tour this summer with supporters Sons Of Texas. [Read More]

Twin Berlin does it again with their new release, Nate’s Volvo

June 18, 2015

Punk grunge rock band, Twin Berlin from Connecticut are at it again. They have captured my attention with another one of their new songs. They have just released a catchy new track, Nate’s Volvo that brings out the nostalgia of punk rock sprinkled with grungy garage band flair.  It is raw and organic, the way I prefer my music these days! Check out their new track: Nate’s Volvo by Twin Berlin The song is off their forthcoming new album, DROWNER. We will see if we can get more details for you on the new album as I am very excited for it. In a time where music seems to be transformed and repackaged in a state so far from it’s organic beginnings, it is refreshing to see a band like Twin Berlin spotlight the raw feel of their music.   For now, visit their social media sites and while you are at it, head over to their Bandcamp page and pick up their music. ~ Marisol Information & Links: Website: http://twinberlin.net/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TwinBerlin Twitter: https://twitter.com/twinberlin Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/twinberlinmusic
