Interview with Kyle and Tom of Hellyeah out on Mayhem Fest

July 21, 2015

Hellyeah have been tearing up the main stage out on this year’s Mayhem Festival.  We had a chance to catch up with Bassist Kyle Sanders and Guitarist Tom Maxwell before their set at Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View. Check out our interview with them here: Hellyeah have teamed up with  with domestic abuse prevention organization NO MORE.  In their #HushNoMore campaign they have been sending messages of hope and support to survivors of domestic abuse.  The band released their music video for HUSH in April. This song and music video tell the story of frontman Chad Gray’s personal life experience dealing with family violence. Check out the video here: It is an amazing song that captures the depth of pain and emotion of experiencing family violence. It brings a voice to those who may remain silent and it also brings hope to those who might feel helpless. These are the memories in me, you didn’t wanna know, you didn’t wanna know, These are the memories we keep, we don’t wanna show, we don’t wanna show, but now [Read More]

Concert Review: Black Label Society with The New Black at Backstage in Munich by Alexandra Bock

July 20, 2015

Convert Review Black Label Society / The New Black July 19, 2015, Backstage Werk, Munich   It was a hot summer night yesterday, when Black Label Society invited all Berzerkers to another show in Munich. The Backstage Werk was really crowded and the heat inside the venue almost unbearable. But we made it through and the little rainshower outside at the end of the show was welcomed by everyone. But, first things first….. ‘The New Black’, a German band from Würzburg, opened the show. They play a heavy, melodic and groovy sound and really knew how to start a show. After their set, a big curtain was drawn up and shielded the view to the stage. A little after 9 pm an intro started, guitars began to wail, the veil dropped down and with loud cheers from the audience Black Label Society started their set. It was a very guitar driven show, which is to be expected when one of the greatest guitarists is playing in town.  Set list included ‘In This River’, ‘My [Read More]

Haunted by Heroes deliver a ROCKIN set at DNA Lounge

July 20, 2015

Allow me to re-introduce you to Haunted by Heroes. These young rockers which features twins, Chris (drums) and Nick (bass) have been rocking out for nearly eight years. You might recall seeing them perform We’re Not Gonna Take It with Dee Snider on America’s Got Talent, on the Today Show as well as countless gigs with legendary rockers. Fast forward to today and they are still kicking ass and rocking out. While they might have started young, they have continued with their passion for music and have evolved into highly talented musicians and songwriters. With Max (who has been with them for several years and played with them back on America’s Got Talent) and Atreyu on guitar, Chris with his heavy hitting precision drums and Nick’s infectious vocals and slamming bass, these four have created a powerful sound that is soon to impact the rock scene.   We caught them perform last night as they opened for Dead Sara at DNA Lounge in San Francisco.  They were incredible as they got the crowd fired up with a 40 minute [Read More]
