Culture Collide: thinking globally, rocking out locally in the City of the Angels. By Patrick O’Heffernan

  (Los Angeles)  Unnoticed among the handwringing over the consolidation within the music industry, particularly the merging of production companies, venues and radio  and TV outlets is another phenomenon that bodes well for artists as well as fans: the creation of online music-travel-style  magazines/festival and producers and even PR agencies. Myke Terry was once the lead singer for metalcore band Bury Your Dead but with his infectious new soulful pop single, you would have never guessed it. Ten years of national and international touring singing metal seems like a lifetime ago when you listen to his new R&B style song, Whatcha Think About That. Myke has definitely found his calling and his voice has the perfect home in the soulful pop scene. He has a style with  his vocals that is smooth and velvetty but with the right balance of edge and pop. The Darkness deliver epic performance in San Francisco for the Blast of Our Kind Tour

Last night will definitely be one unforgettable evening. The Darkness made a stop in San Francisco at The Regency Ballroom for their Blast Of Our Kind Tour. It was absolutely mesmerizing from start to finish.  The night kicked off with a bluesy rock set by The Headlands. They captured the crowd’s attention as the venue continued to fill up to near capacity. Disruption releases new single Skylines feature Shawn Milke

The metalcore band Disruption has released their debut single “Skylines” featuring  Shawn Milke from Alesana for song and video, which was shot by Paradyme Pix. The song was engineered in Portland with Stephan Hawkes who is known for his work with Attila, Chelsea Grin, Jonny Craig and more.
