SHOW ALERT: Don’t miss SF favorites Facing New York at their hometown show celebrating album release

  Bay Area alt-rock favorites, Facing New York are set to release their new album, Dogtown on December 14th via Nice Life Recording Company. This will be their first album in 10 years. We have been able to take a listen to several of their new tracks and you are going to LOVE IT! Facing New York is Eric Frederic [vocals, guitar] (also known as the multi-platinum GRAMMY–nominated producer/songwriter/artist Ricky Reed), Brandon Canchola [bass] and Omar Cuellar [drums] and they are set to perform a special hometown album release show next week. London based alt-rockers THIS LIFE have released a  new song and video which delivers a candid and very personal look at the effects of drug and alcohol abuse. The track titled, I’d Lie About Almost Anything is based on personal experiences. ‘The track and video are a candid and vulnerable plea to anyone suffering from mental health problems associated with drug and alcohol dependency to overcome the stigma of asking for professional help.’ Watch the video here: Front man William Ellis says:  “Everybody needs help sometimes, and it’s time to ask for it. VIDEO ALERT: Bay Area garage surf rockers The Silhouette Era release new video!

  Garage-surf band The Silhouette Era have just released a new video for their track Waste Me.  The Bay Area band brings to life the energy and adrenaline that the band brings to their music. The video which was directed by directed by hometown Monterey native Alex Ramirez. “Ramirez fuses his gritty and kinetic video style with the bandsexplosive performance. The video captures a simplicity which strikes at the vein of raw unadulterated fun”. Blue October Celebrate Chart Successes for Simultaneous Singles “I Hope You’re Happy” and “Daylight”

Celebrate Chart Success Blue October have a lot to celebrate. Both their singles “I Hope You’re Happy” and “Daylight,” as both tracks are now charting on the US HOT AC Chart and the US Alternative Airplay Chart respectively. After spending 25 weeks on the US Alternative Airplay Chart and peaking at #14, “I Hope You’re Happy” has begun to cross over on the US Hot AC Chart, currently reaching #34. “Daylight” has been moving steadily up and currently sits at #28 on the US Alternative Airplay Chart, making “Daylight” the second song from I Hope You’re Happy to impact this chart. The fact that I Hope You’re Happy was released on indie label Up/Down-Brando Records makes this feat even more notable.   This Friday coming to San Francisco is the Norwegian-born, Los Angeles-based electronic duo Lemaitre. The duo are set to stop in SF at the August Hall for a date on their North American headline tour.
