TURKUAZ are set to bring a colorful funk rock set to San Francisco out on their Life in The City Tour

Next year there are so many great bands that are coming to San Francisco and one that you won’t want to miss is TURKUAZ. The Brooklyn-based nine piece band is set to head out on their Life In The City Tour.  The band is sure to bring a kaleidoscope of colors and personality to the stage. They will be heading to the legendary Fillmore in San Francisco on February 2nd. They will have support from Paris Monster. They will be out on tour in support of their fifth full length album Life In The City. Earlier this year, PRS announced an eighty-piece limited run of Private Stock “Graveyard” guitars based on the vintage-inspired McCarty 594 model. The Graveyard II also takes the McCarty 594 model as its platform, but adds a unique aesthetic.   The Wood   In early 2018, PRS purchased more than 150 curly maple tops from the outskirts of a Graveyard on top of a moun­tain on the East Coast of the USA. The Gravestones were dated around 1884, and the trees were clearly at least that old as they were forty feet to the first limb. Carlos Sé’s debut EP  introduces the Sé Sound of East LA.

Patrick O’Heffernan (Los Angeles) Carlos Sé, a friendly East LA roquero singer/songwriter with a light touch on the guitar and a knack for clever penetrating lyrics, handed me a copy of his debut EP  Ready or Not, Here  I Come a few weeks ago at a Dia de los Muertos event and I am still playing it.  The EP’s six songs are easy to listen to and quickly get under your skin. Playing a  blend of reggae, rock, and Latino fusion born of the La Maravilla Projects in East LA, Sé artfully pulls the varying styles together as a singular music form – the “Se  sound”. In October The Word Alive introduced ‘Rise’, the new League Of Legends theme song, which they were part of alongside Mako and The Glitch Mob. The video got over 7 million views in the first 24 hours alone. Definitely a new highlight of their career was the live performance of the song at the opening ceremony of the World finals in Incheon, South Korea.
