Architects live at Royal Albert Hall

November 25, 2020

Live shows have been absent from our lives for months now. When the lockdowns started, shows and entire tours had to be canceled, it didn’t take long that bands started to search for alternatives to reach out to the fans and give them the closest experience to a live show that there is right now – live streams. One of the bands that chose this option is the UK Metalcore band Architects. Since streams don’t have an audience, they can take place in any kind of venue. But Architects decided to choose a beautiful historic place – the Royal Albert Hall. The Royal Albert Hall is located in South Kensington, London. It was opened in 1871 and has a capacity of about 5.200 people. 30 minutes before the stream was due to start, the chat had already been opened for people. Reading some of the posts, you could feel the excitement of the fans. Show start was set for 8 pm GMT. At about 8.05 pm the stream started with the camera walking along the halls [Read More]

Spotlight Band: Check out the debut release from new band The Pride

November 18, 2020

Shining in the spotlight is the alternative rock band, The Pride and their debut single, Over Myself. The infectious new track is off their upcoming EP, Too Damn Late.  due out in early December 2020. About the band: The Pride is composed of Daniel McGuffey on vocals, Ryan Hudson on guitar and vocals and Justin Emord on bass, both of the famed LA band, Love and A .38. Rounding out the rhythm is Brian Sheahan of St. Louis punk band, BAMF on drums. The Pride’s fast, melodic rock is influenced by artists like The Wildhearts and Cheap Trick, both known for their mixture of pop sensibilities, raw guitars, and driving tempos. Daniel leans into simple song structures, major keys, and upbeat, sing-along choruses to compliment his introspective lyrics, while Ryan’s vocal harmonies and riff-heavy guitar playing introduce grit and depth to each song. Thematically, The Pride’s music deals with heartbreak, addiction and recovery, anxiety and depression and resentment with an emphasis on admitting fault, taking responsibility and trudging forward. Daniel’s lyrics are influenced heavily by [Read More]

Wolfgang Van Halen releases heartfelt debut track Distance, a tribute to his father

November 16, 2020

Wolfgang Van Halen has just released his debut track, Distance and it has truly left me speechless. It is a tribute to his father, Eddie Van Halen, and it is an absolute musical gem! When you first listen, you are immediately captivated by Wolfgang’s compelling vocals. His emotionally stirring lyrics are soul baring and a true raw honesty rises from the song. It brought tears to my eyes, and yet, the song absolutely rocks! I must have listened to over a dozen times after it was first released. Wolfgang is a remarkable musician and we never doubted for a second that he would deliver anything short of stellar music. What is amazing about this album, Wolfgang plays all the instruments on the album, it is a true labor of love. You can pick up the song via iTunes by heading over here: https://music.apple.com/us/album/distance-single/1538015599 He also released a touching video that includes heartwarming home movie clips and ends with a beautiful voicemail. Lionheart bring summer festival feeling into your home with the release of their live record

November 6, 2020

Bay Area’s (CA) reigning kings of heavy hardcore first stormed into the scene in 2007 with their debut album: »The Will To Survive«. Taking influence from bands like BLOOD FOR BLOOD, HATEBREED, and MADBALL; LIONHEART came out swinging with a full-blown assault of blistering metallic hardcore. They quickly followed it up with 2010’s »Built On Struggle«, 2012’s »Undisputed« and years of nonstop touring. Following a short break after their release »Undisputed«, the band came back stronger than ever with 2014’s »Welcome To The Westcoast«. The album debuted at #1 on both iTunes Metal and GooglePlay Metal Charts. LIONHEART stormed into the scene again in January 2016 with »Love Don’t Live here«. The album title, a nod to a classic R&B/ Motown song by the same name, shows the bands unwillingness to conform to the typical „hardcore mold“, as well as the bitter and unforgiving lyrical content the band is known for. November 2017 saw Lionheart unleash »Welcome To The Westcoast II«. A sequel to »Welcome To The Westcoast« (2014), the album brought forth a [Read More]

Fans can watch the video and pre-order the CD + Blu-Ray DVD bundles at http://smarturl.it/FANDOMLIVE “FANDOM: LIVE IN THE UK” was recorded and filmed in January 2020 at O2 Academy in Birmingham, UK at a sold-out show on the FANDOM Tour. Executive producers Awsten Knight and Jawn Rocha utilized practical and special effects to create an other-worldly experience that is both exhilaratingly euphoric and inimitably intimate. Frontman Awsten Knight shares: “I’ve always wanted Waterparks to have a live concert DVD because I used to love watching them from other bands so much. The thing is, I wanted to approach it differently and try to make it into more of an art piece rather than strictly documentation of a night. As a co-director, I wanted it to be like an IMAX Waterparks show but in an alternate universe and so every song is warped out and stylized to look how it feels to me while [Read More]

Black River Delta release new song “Shakin”

November 5, 2020

Black River Delta, the swedish Alternative/Blues/Rock-band, reports back with their new single ‘Shakin’, which also comes with a brand new video: The song is available on all streaming platforms. You can also find it on the EA Sports NHL21 soundtrack. “Shakin’ arose from the desire to, with the help of two distorted guitars, tell the story of a man, who leaves everything behind to find his luck far away from home. Just to find out, that maybe he left it behind. Sort of a ‘the grass is always greener on the other side’-story, accompanied by fuzz-guitars and heavy drums. Black River Delta is an Alternative rockband from Bollnäs, Sweden. So far they released two studio records: “Devil On The Loose” (2016) and “Vol. II” (2018). The raw Blues-Rock-sound of the band is influenced by classic Blues legends like Robert Johnson, the raw style of R.L. Burnside and modern artists like The Black Keys, Gary Clark Jr. and BRMC. Their ability to join old Blues with modern Rock led them to several tours through Europe and [Read More]
