Don Broco share new single “One True Prince”

August 8, 2021

Don Broco have released their new single ‘One True Prince’, taken from the forthcoming new album “Amazing Things”, which will be released on the 17th September via Sharptone Records. The track sees Don Broco shine a light on their slower and more immersive side, presenting the band in a completely new way. Colossal guitars, thunderous drums, and enchanting vocals dance together in a captivating ebb and flow, channeling their inner Deftones to paint a detailed and evocative picture with a stunning sonic palette. The accompanying video compliments the expansive vibe, set in the very center of a vast and desolate landscape. As the band musically explores their sound the video’s protagonist explores their beautiful surroundings, traversing the unknown terrain in search of something completely out of this world. Lead singer Rob Damiani comments, “’One True Prince’ is about finding comfort in the fact that whatever you’re going through and however bad it may feel, nothing lasts forever. “In these moments I try to remind myself how insignificant I am. Just one person amongst billions, on [Read More]

Weatherstate blast off in new single/video “Current Dose”

August 8, 2021

Weatherstate are back with a brand new single and music video. The Weymouth punk band has today shared “Current Dose,” an exploration of space, time, and riffs produced by Alan Day (Four Year Strong). “It was actually one of the first songs we wrote for the new record and the first we worked on with Alan Day,” the band shares. “It’s one of the grittiest songs we’ve written to date. We ended up tuning the guitars super low on one side and leaning into the riffs with Alan. “The bridge section is just noisy nonsense, we ended up stealing an idea from Nirvana’s Drain You and started spraying deodorant cans into microphones in the studio. Current Dose to me has loads of Foo’s energy. We jokingly referred to this song as “if QOTSA wrote Welcome To Paradise” haha.” On the music video they add: “The music video is our most ambitious to date and part of the arching story we’ve been telling for the best part of this year. It was a pleasure bringing so [Read More]

Moodring sign to UNFD and re-issue “Showmetherealyou” EP

August 4, 2021

Hailing from Orlando, Florida, Moodring mark the latest brood to join the UNFD roster. An intriguing mix of alt-rock, shoegaze, grunge and nu-metal sensibilities, frontman Hunter Young describes how the band’s name acts effectively as a disclaimer for this group’s ethos. “Moodring is not easily defined; our sound can and will change, morph and evolve, even across the course of a single song. Our identity is genre-fluid” reveals Hunter. “Lyrically, Moodring is pure teenage angst” he adds, speaking of deeply personal vignettes which hint at toxic relationships and cycles of abuse; “When people contact me via the Moodring page and tell me something like, “I relate to this”, I legitimately feel bad for them. I’m like, “Fuck, I’m sorry, I really wish you didn’t.” But, in my experience, that is how human beings relate to each other, through misery”. Today’s signing announcement, which comes shortly after recent US signings including Hollow Front, Vatican and Sleep Waker, coincides with UNFD’s re-issuing of Moodring’s recent EP, “Showmetherealyou“. Co-produced by Young at his home studio, the re-release comes [Read More]
