March 21, 2022

The highly praised “death-pop-rock” band Blood Command released their new melodic single “I Just Want That Movie Ending” a few days ago via Hassle Records! The band comments: “”I Just Want That Movie Ending” is a song about unanswered love – it describes the pain one feels, when the person you love the most on this earth, doesn’t feel the same way, doesn’t even know you exist. The title ist the heartbreaking realization, that you wish for that fairy tale ending, but it will never happen, because you can’t force someone to fall in love with you.” The song is taken from the long-awaited upcoming album “Praise Armageddonism”, which will be released July 1st, 2022 via Hassle Records. It’s the first one with their new singer Nikki Brumen (ex-Pagan). You can pre-order/pre-save the record HERE. Apocalyptica partner up for new single “I’ll Get Through It”

March 21, 2022

The Finnish cello-rock quartet Apocalyptica have once again partnered up with some of the biggest names in rock music to deliver their new single “I’ll Get Through It”. The song, written for the band by American award-winning songwriter Diane Warren, features Franky Perez – guest vocalist in Apocalyptica’s 2015 record Shadowmaker – as well as Geezer Butler of Black Sabbath on bass guitar. The song was born out of a visit Geezer & Franky paid to their friend Diane, who had already written the track “Not Strong Enough” for Apocalyptica, included in their 2010 record 7th Symphony.  “Franky & I were visiting my friend, Diane Warren, at her studio. She played us this song, saying that she thought it would work well with Frankie’s voice. He gave it a try on the spot. We loved it. Franky then suggested sending it to Apocalyptica. They loved it, and the rest is history”, comments Geezer. Franky Perez shares the same feeling of enthusiasm upon hearing the track for the first time “I knew this song was special [Read More]

Beartooth’s latest record “Below” is now available as a deluxe version with 32 (!) tracks. Also included are the complete 17 songs from the “Live From The Journey Below” live stream recorded in July 2021 at the historic Clyde Theater in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The presale for a 3-LP set of the deluxe version starts today on the band’s homepage. Frontman Caleb Shomo comments on the new songs as follows: “‘Fighting Back’ and ‘Permanently Sealed’ are undoubtedly experimental songs for Beartooth. I really tried to push the boundaries of what I’m doing with guitar, what I’m doing with my voice, and what I’m doing with the songwriting. The outcome may not have made the first cut of the album, but I think they’re definitely worth hearing and play a big role in how the record ended up turning out. I think it can [Read More]
