VIDEO: Loveless share new single I Hope I’m Not Sick

June 20, 2023

Los Angeles rock duo Loveless which is comprised of vocalist/producer Julian Comeau and multi-instrumentalist Dylan Tirapelli-Jamail has just released an infectiously catchy new track, I Hope I’m Not Sick via BMG/Rise Records. Produced by Comeau alongside Nick Morzov (Animals as Leaders, The Night Game).  Comeau comments about the song which “offers an introspective exploration of the emotional landscape encountered while navigating mental health challenges”. “Sick came from a time when I thought my anxiety and depression were at their worst. For years, I pretended I was fine and that everything was okay, even when I was dealing with excruciating mental anguish and the fear that it was never-ending. Writing this song allowed me to break free from that fear and accept that my mental illness is a part of me that I need to deal with head-on, and not be afraid to face it. I hope it brings others a similar solace.” Check out the song here: Loveless are wrapping up the Sold-Out North American leg of their tour with shows in Los Angeles [Read More]

The Glorious Sons announce dates for the Glory Tour

June 20, 2023

It was back in 2015 when we first discovered The Glorious Sons. They were opening up for 10 Years and had a stop at the DNA Lounge. As I mentioned back in that 2013 coverage, “With my schedule of concert and festival coverage I probably get in about 250 sets a year and sometimes I come across a band that I know will have me thinking about their performance long after. Most recently, I had the experience when I caught The Glorious Sons from Ontario, Canada as they made a stop in San Francisco at the DNA Lounge. They put on an incredible set that had me grinning from ear to ear as I watched a band for the first time and knew that it will definitely not be my last.” We have been watching for the past 8 years since and they continue to amaze us with their music and performances.  They have announced tour dates for the Glory Tour, named after their upcoming album which is set to release this fall. The Dollyrots release new song, “MISSING YOU (I CAN’T WAIT)”

June 19, 2023

Pop Punk duo The Dollyrots are gearing up to head out on their Year of the Bunny Tour and have just released a new track. The song, Missing You (I Can’t Wait) was produced by Stevie Van Zandt at his Renegade Studios in NYC, with Geoff Sanoff (Fountains of Wayne, Darlene Love) Engineering and John Fields (Jimmy Eat World, All Time Low, Meet Me At the Altar) on mixing & Production as well. Singer/bassist Kelly Ogden comments, ”Missing You (I Can’t Wait)” was unfinished when we brought it into the studio in NYC to record with Stevie Van Zandt. We share a love of 60s pop harmonies, and that sensibility turned the song’s outro into the trippiest vocal layering we’ve ever done. It’s always a treat to collaborate with geniuses.” Check out the track here: Always active on the live circuit, the band is gearing up for summer tours in both the South and the West Coast with support by friends Don’t Panic and Dog Party. This Fall the band will also embark on a co-headlining run with Tsunami Bomb, [Read More]
