Hannah Wicklund releases emotionally healing new track, Witness

July 27, 2023

Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist Hannah Wicklund is set to release her full length album The Prize on October 13th.  On July 26th, Wicklund released her latest single, Witness, which is off her upcoming album. The song is her most personal to date and about claiming heartbreak, embracing it and using that to heal through some of the toughest times in life. Hannah confesses, “Getting into your first relationship as a strong, driven young woman, it’s very difficult to experience someone dim your light, but even harder to recognize it. Insecurities within young people play out in terrifying ways, and it’s very hard to not absorb other people’s darkness. Witness was the awareness I found in myself that it is not my responsibility to save anyone.” The single arrives accompanied by another of Hannah’s whimsical oil paintings as the single cover art. “With the artwork behind ‘Witness’, I wanted to capture the release of someone from your life; that last look before they are gone. So clearly the castle is my space, and watching ‘him’ go from the front [Read More]

Okey Dokey are more than alright, they are a must see band

July 25, 2023

Saturday night, we caught Okey Dokey open up for Zella Day out on the Hot Summer Nights Tour and it was awesome.  I love it when I get to catch a band I am not familiar with and they blow us away. That is exactly what Okey Dokey did for us.  Their music is a addictive blend of 60’s groove pop and indie rock.  Imagine a modern day indie version of the Doors and frontman Aaron Martin channels a Jim Morrison vibe that will have you hooked right from the start. Check out some photos from their set by our Rockin Ryan:   They will continue out on tour with Zella Day and you can check out their song Spiderwebs which features Zella Day.
