Allison rocked the main stage at La Onda Festival

June 5, 2024

Allison is a Mexican rock band from Mexico City, Mexico that formed in 2002.  They played the main stage at the La Onda Festival this past weekend and brought a true rock n roll set to the festival.  Some of you might recall catching Allison back on Vans Warped Tour in 2007/2008 and they were praised for their high energy.  Fast forward nearly a couple decades and they are still delivering a fiercely energetic set. They even had an incredible mosh pit! Some could compare them to a Latin Blink 182 or Fall Out Boy.  Even if you don’ understand the language, their infectious melodies, smoking guitars, and powerful vocals will captivate you from the first note. The band’s energy is electrifying, and their ability to communicate emotions and stories through their music alone.  Despite the language barrier, their passion and talent shine through. Check out photos of their set by our Rockin Ryan: You can watch a video of their performance from La Onda here: We strongly encourage you to check them out if [Read More]

Gibson introduces Jason Isbell “Red Eye” collector edition

June 5, 2024

Introducing a Collector’s Edition clone of Jason Isbell’s famous ’59 Les Paul, “Red Eye.” “Red Eye” was the long-time sidekick of Ed King of Lynyrd Skynyrd. After Ed passed away in 2018, six-time GRAMMY® Award-winning Americana artist Jason Isbell purchased Red Eye and often features it in his stage and studio performances. Only 59 of these exceptional instruments have been handmade by the expert luthiers of the Gibson Custom Shop and Murphy Lab in Nashville, Tennessee, as part of this extraordinary Collector’s Edition run. An Illustrious History  Like many ’59 Les Pauls, “Red Eye” has a unique and illustrious history. Much of the red color on the top faded while displayed in a store window, except for a patch below the toggle switch that was covered by a hangtag. Ed King of Lynyrd Skynyrd purchased it in 1982 and nicknamed it “Red Eye” after its distinctive appearance.      You can watch a video where Jason Isbell talks about how he fell in love with Red Eye: Catch Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit on tour now, [Read More]

Point North release lyric video for Bring Me Down

June 5, 2024

Point North just released a lyric video for their latest track, Bring Me Down. They premiered the song back in May and it was well received. They will be heading out on tour with From Ashes to New and they can’t wait to play it live for their fans. Point North shares about the song: “This song is just about toxic relationships and feeling isolated. It touches on feeling like no one is really out for your best interest and only after their own. It also reflects on growing older and becoming more aware of who you surround yourself with and what relationships are worth ke3eping. All with a touch of ‘fuck you’ to the rest of them. ‘Bring Me Down’ started as a very pop centric demo as most of our songs do. But when the label said the demo wasn’t heavy enough we decided to make it our heaviest song yet. So we are very proud of this one and can’t wait to play it live on our tour with From Ashes To [Read More]
