Outside Lands 2024 was a stellar success at Golden Gate Park.  Three days of non-stop music on seven stages provided a diverse and eclectic variety of artists from rap to country and everything in between. The festival featured over 100 restaurants to choose from as well the WineLands area and GrassLands. There was even a spot for some lucky couples to get married during Outside Lands. We will be featuring all the bands from Outside Lands but for now wanted to give you a gallery of some of the artists:   The fans at Outside Lands Festival are the heart and soul of the event, bringing an infectious energy that transforms the festival into n unforgettable experience. With their good vibes, they create an atmosphere of unity and excitement, where everyone is there to celebrate the music and art, always being 100% present and in the moment. FRIDAY SPOTLIGHT: GILLIAN WELCH & DAVID RAWLINGS SHARE NEW SONG “HASHTAG”

August 9, 2024

American folk masters Gillian Welch and David Rawlings have just released a new song, Hashtag which is off their 10th studio album, Woodland, set for a August 23rd digital release on their label Acony Records.  Welch shares about the song, “We wrote Hashtag for Guy Clark. He showed us the parallel universe of the troubadour.” Check out the new song here:   Woodland is their first album since 2020’s All the Good Times, a collection of covers and classic folk songs which earned the duo the 2021 GRAMMY Award for Best Folk Album, and their first album of new original music since 2017’s Poor David’s Almanack. August 4, 2024

The Amity Affliction made the first stop during their European tour in Munich at the Free & Easy festival at the Backstage Munich. Entry is usually free at this festival, to make sure you get into the venue though, you’re advised to get a ticket which ensures you’re getting in. Those said tickets were sold out, so the venue was pretty packed. 33 Celsius (~ 90 F) outside, inside it was a sauna. Like every time, TAA crushed it. Since it’s the 10th-anniversary tour of “Let The Ocean Take Me” they played the record as a whole and added some classics like “Open Letter” and recent ones like “I See Dead People”. The other three bands that night – As Time Went By, Trust The Shark and Tenside – were a good addition. Tenside are a popular local band from Munich. They already do have a solid fanbase around here. Enjoy the photos from this amazing sweaty show and make sure to catch the bands live at a place near you. As Time Went By [Read More]
