We As Human interview and highlights from Aftershock Festival

This past weekend was one of the largest (if not, the largest!) festival in California; Monster Energy Aftershock Festival held in Sacramento over the weekend. Saturday morning, We As Human from Nashville, TN were the first band to play the main stage and they truly set the perfect tone for the weekend. HIGH ENERGY, IN YOUR FACE, BALLS TO THE WALL, ROCK N ROLL! Sometimes festivals start off with a band that puts out a mediocre performance and then builds them throughout the day. Well this time, that was not the case.

We As Human came out and just got the crowd energized and ready to Rock. Fans with their fists in the air, came running up to the main stage as they walked through the gates, completely drawn in by their music. Who are the guys behind We As Human? Well, you have Justin Cordle on Vocals, Adam Osborne on Drums, Jake Jones and Justin Forshaw on Guitars and Dave Draggoo on Bass. Combined, you have a band that not only delivers intense music but creates a bond with their fans. As they say, “We want out listeners to know that every word we sing, every word we say from the stage, comes from the core of who we are. It’s not just a show. We write about who we are, what we believe, and back that up with how we live our lives.”

You can head over it Itunes and pick up their self titled debut album that has had their single, “Strike Back” taking over the airwaves! It is filled with great songs like “Zombie”, “Take the Bullets Away” and also the spectacular song “Sever”. Lead singer, Justin Cordle wrote “Sever” for his young nephew who died from cancer.
