The time is almost here for CONTACT with Alien Ken!

Alien Ken

The time is coming closer for the arrival of Contact by Alien Ken. We recently told you about Alien Ken and shared with you his awesome new single, Cleanse My Claws. you can read more from that post  here.   In addition in our most recent post, we brought you an interview with  Alien Ken as we discuss his upcoming album “Contact”.  You can check out that interview here.

CONTACT

The first single from Contact is Cleanse My Claws and we asked Alien Ken tells us more about what inspired him for that song. I had a bunch of different riffs lying about and if I remember correctly the tune came together rather quickly. I think it was one of the first songs I wrote for the upcoming album. I can`t think of any particular band that inspired writing it but I guess the solo is partly inspired by John 5 which is one of my favorite guitar players!

The lyrics are written by Roy Egeland which is Alien Kens vocalist extraordinaire. In fact he has written all the lyrics for the upcoming record. I don’t want to get too much into what the lyrics mean as I want you to make your own conclusion out of them”  You can check out the song here:

Alien Ken‘s upcoming album, Contact is set for a release date of January 27th. I had the opportunity to listen to the album and I need to tell you…. get ready to be blown away! it is as if the Aliens have been listening to all our music and then took the best of it all, molded it, perfected it and came down and delivered us with the gift of Alien Ken!  From start to finish, you are fed a constant flow of hard rock with twists of metal and alternative that have you in awe. It starts off with Content is King and is blazing with heavy guitars that get your blood pumping.

Wrath of Noro comes on straight in your face with it’s high energy and has you feeling like you are speeding down the open highway with music blaring. Fall at my Feet has a great edgy intro, shredding guitars and the vocals on that song are so damn HOT!

You can’t help but be held captive by Alien Ken‘s music.  This album is definitely a complete work of art, fucking rock n roll genius! Two Bad is another bad ass song that treats us to a catchy melodic chorus and some sweet sitar sounding guitar work!

Mirrored is another highlight for me as it takes you through the highs and lows of a rollercoaster blended with emotional intensity that comes to life with each musical note.

The album ends with She and it packs a punch with defined momentum mixed with melodic vocals,  and an ending you know is coming; but having you want to hear so much more of Alien Ken.

Contact is one album that I urge you pick up. You will not be disappointed and you may just have found your new favorite album! This may just end up as my album of 2014 and yes, I know we are only in January, but I don’t know it can be topped!!!  Visit his social media sites to stay up to date on all Alien Ken news.
