This summer if you are lucky to be on the West Coast you will have the chance to catch a great explosive rock band, Not In The Face who will be out on their summer tour. Not In The Face includes Jonathan Terrell on Guitars & Vocals, Wes Cargal on Drums, Michael Anthony Gibson on Lead Guitar and Ross Dubois on Bass & Vocals. Together these four have an energetic rock and roll style that is infectious and is very new. What started as a simple joke of them performing hyperactive covers of classic R&B, Doo-Wop and RocknRoll soon turned into many praising them for their creative new sound.
They definitely bring a fresh new sound to the music scene with hints of nostalgia, a true winning combination. I really love it when a band follows their own path and creates something that is completely unexpected and unique. Then to be brave enough to continue down that path and play the music that they truly love to perform. These days with people telling you to fit into certain music genre checkboxes, that can be quite difficult. I applaud Not In The Face for their determination and passion in bringing us fantastic new music to fall in love with.
This Spring they had released their EP Brass Tacks and it is amazing. In support of their new EP, they are setting off on a West Coast Tour and we are glad to see that they have a stop in San Francisco for us. Check out the tour dates:

To get you ready for Not In The Face, check out one of my favorite songs, their title track of their EP, Brass Tacks here:
The EP was executive-produced by the legendary Bob Ezrin (Pink Floyd, Lou Reed, KISS) and produced by GGGarth Richardson (Rage Against The Machine, Biffy Clyro, Red Hot Chili Peppers) at The Farm Studios in Vancouver, BC. You can pick up Brass Tacks on iTunes. Make sure to visit their social media sites and stay up to date on their latest news. We will bring you coverage of their San Francisco show and hopefully snag an interview with them as well.
