Industrial electronic rocker Blue Eyed Christ released a lyric video earlier this week for their cover of Gary Glitter and later Joan Jett song, Do You Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah). Check it out here:

Blue Eyed Christ is the project of mixer/producer/engineer, John D. Norten who explains about the cover, “I’ve always been a big fan of Joan Jett. I love the mix of raw energy and sexual tension in her version of “Do You Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah)”. I actually didn’t even know it was originally a Gary Glitter song until after I recorded my version. Mine is much more true to the Joan Jett version but modernized with big drums, huge guitars, heavy synths, and a dose of noise to give it the Blue Eyed Christ sound.

Blue Eyed Christ was first started by John as a teen in 1991. He then released a couple albums but it has been 12 years since his last release of American Whore. The new album, A Rush and a Thrill, is a whirlwind ride straight into the psyche of John D. Norten and the world of Blue Eyed Christ.
