We are so excited to announce that one of our favorite bands, Survive This! is working on new music. They topped our list of MUST SEE Bands at Vans Warped Tour 2014 and quickly became our highlighted band. The energy they bring to the stage and through their music is amazing. Their stage presence is captivating and we can’t wait to catch them out on tour soon.
They have just released a video for their song, Sail Away which they revamped with a new recording that is absolutely bad ass! Here is what they posted about the new video,
Whether life throws you lemons or razor blades, you make the best of it and influence yourself to do more than you ever thought was possible. Survive This! promises to always creatively evolve and it begins now with our BRAND NEW “Sail Away” music video. For all current fans and friends, we hope you enjoy this reboot – There’s PLENTY on the way so do us a favor if you could… Listen to this and share with a friend – TOUR IS COMING. I am loving the new direction and you can feel the passion in their music. We had a chance to briefly catch up with Daniel and here is an update:
Music Junkie Press: Thank you so much for taking the time out to talk with us here at Music Junkie Press. We checked out your reboot version video for Sail Away and love it. It is a great capture of your guys energy and can’t wait to see what is next for Survive This! Can you tell us what you are working on?
Daniel: We’re happy to talk with you. We are currently finishing up our second album in Portland Oregon at Interlace Studio. We shot the Sail away video with the revamped recording for our fans that have been waiting for new material, but are looking forward to moving on from the first album to something much more mature and “us”.
Music Junkie Press: You guys had a great couple shows with Assuming We Survive. How did that summer run go for you guys?
Daniel: The last tour we did with Assuming We Survive was amazing. We have never connected with a group of dudes before the way we did with them. The energy between our bands off and on stage was incredible and we look forward to doing it again in the future.
Music Junkie Press: We have been craving our fix of Survive This! energy that you guys bring to the stage, we understand a tour might be in the works. Can you tell us about it? Hoping for NorCal dates!
Daniel: We have been bidding for a lot of tours but are looking to do a run sometime around Fall/Winter
Music Junkie Press: You guys bring this great energy to the stage, do you have a preshow ritual to harness that energy before you hit the stage?
Daniel: There’s no real rituals that go down that are any different from anyone else. Our drummer Billy does some drum rudiments to warm up, Aj does some short warmups on guitar and Myself and Shawn do about 5-10 minutes of vocal warm ups and then we just walk on stage and let the music take over.
Music Junkie Press: Lastly, is there anything else you would like to share with our audience and your fans?
Daniel: Please enjoy the revamped sail away track and video, and share it as much as you can. And we want to thank our friends and fans for their patience with us and we hope they enjoy what we’ve made.
