Falling in Reverse set the Roxy on fire today for their daytime show which was streamed live worldwide. This live stream was presented by Hot Topic and the only way to get into this exclusive show was to pre-order their new CD bundle “Fashionably Late” which was released today, June 18th on Epitaph Records. For those that purchased the package in the Southern California Hot Topic stores were treated to a free all ages show at the Roxy on the Sunset Strip.
We had the opportunity to watch the show and I will let you know…. Falling in Reverse is a force to be reckoned with. This just may be their year and I am very excited for all of them. This band has had to endure many ups and downs and to see how far they have come after climbing over a mountain of haters they are certainly reigning as “Champions”. Obviously their haters are their motivators and if they continue to push the bar with their music, they will continue to rise to the top of the charts.
I am not even going to get into all the hate and reasons for it because I just feel that would feed into the bullshit. I am here to talk about music and this is coming from someone who was never really a fan of Falling in Reverse or Ronnie Radke. So when my son would play them everytime we were out in the car, I had a chance to listen to them and their music with no preconceived notions or judgments. What I did find out is that this album is pure music and a fusion of various genres. You cannot pigeonhole them into any one genre, from “Champion” that highlights Ronnie’s rapping capabilities, to “Drifter” that has a Southern Country feel to “Alone” that brings out some original Ronnie and then “Born to Lead” where everyone highlights their musical capabilities in the band. They literally bleed out their music and I thoroughly enjoyed it and I now find myself playing them on my own.
Ronnie even joked with the audience about his past antics as well as the continuous rumors that seem to hound this band. If only people would focus on the music they love and stop trying to bring other people down. Another thing that I have continued to witness has been that countless fans have thanked Falling In Reverse for being part of their lives and saving them from situations in their lives. That is something that no one can take away from Falling in Reverse and they should be applauded for that.
So if you are looking for some new music that will take you on an energetic adrenaline filled ride, make sure to pick up your copy of “Fashionably Late”. We will be catching up with Falling in Reverse when they come to Sacramento for the Aftershock Festival on September 14th & 15th. Stay tuned for more details and we will try and follow up with a video interview with the band.

i actually like them. i like all music but it is nice to see people change and it sucks when people try to bring them down. will get their new album too
I love that song Bad Girls Club! Very true about different genres and I think that is a good thing. If a band can keep their fans happy by providing a variety of styles more power to them.
