Protest the Hero wins Juno Award for Best Metal/Hard Music Album for “Volition”

Last week at the Juno Awards in Canada, Protest The Hero received the Juno for Best Metal/ Hard Music Album for their CD, Volition. Guitarist Tim Millar reacts to the news by saying, “We are very proud to be recognized by the Juno Awards for Best Metal/Hard Music Album of 2013. 2013 was a crazy year and without all the hard work of the people that made the record come to life, and all the people the contributed to the record before hearing a single note, this album would not have been possible. We are forever in your debt.”

Guitarist Luke Hoskin adds, “We are thrilled with our recent Juno win! We had incredible company in our category and it could have gone to anyone.  We remain proud Canadians even though we are currently touring south of the border.  Thanks for all the support!”

It is great to see this CD win since Volition was 100% funded by fans through an  Indiegogo in 2013. Protest The Hero then licensed the record to Sony Canada, Razor & Tie, and Spinefarm for worldwide distribution. It is awesome to see them win the award and see all their hard work and efforts pay off. The band is currently in the midst of their Volition tour and then will head back to Europe for dates in June and July. Here is their current schedule:
