Today our Bottle Rock Napa Featured Band is The Deadlies. For today, we wanted the spotlight on a local band with a big sound! You may have already seen or heard them play but were not familiar with them. The Deadlies can be described as a California surf punk/rock band with a little Honky Tonk and Country thrown in. One thing is for sure, when you listen to The Deadlies, you can’t help but move around and have some fun! They are “paying homage to the Ventures Dick Dale and the Chantays as well as the California Honky-tonk sound of Buck Owens and Dwight Yoakam while keeping an under lying presence of the California surf punk scene that brought us the Dickies, Agent Orange and Top Jimmy and the Rhythm Pigs.”
The Deadlies are the “Cave Band” on “Creepy KOFY Movietime”, the “house band” at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo and their music has been featured on Live 105, 107.7FM the Bone (San Francisco), 99.3FM KVYN (Napa) and 810AM KGO (San Francisco). Now you can enjoy them at this year’s Bottle Rock Napa. They also have a CD out “Meet the Deadlies” that you can pick up on ITunes, CDBaby, Amazon or other online outlets. They will be performing on Saturday, May 31st.
