Long time rockers, TESLA release new song; So Devine

May 5, 2014

One of my long time favorite rock band from Sacramento, TESLA have announced a new album set for release this summer. TESLA locked themselves away for weeks writing the new album and came up with fourteen solid tracks which will be SIMPLICITY. The album was recorded at their bassist Brian Wheat’s very own J Street Recorders. Legendary engineer Michael Wagener (Metallica, Skid Row, Motley Crue) was then tapped to put the final touches in place. The release date has been set for June 10th, via Tesla Electric Company Recording’s arrangement with Entertainment One Music and Distribution. It is so exciting to hear that new music is only a couple months away. TESLA has been one of my favorite rock bands since forming in 1981. I have probably enjoyed their shows about a couple dozens time over the years and each time, I leave with an even higher appreciation for them! TESLA is Frank Hannon, Brian Wheat, Jeff Keith, Troy Luccketta and Dave Rude.   TESLA released one of their new songs, So Devine today and it is AWESOME!!! Check it out [Read More]

Faith and Bullets make their Hollywood debut at The Whisky a Go Go.

May 4, 2014

Our favorite local band, Faith and Bullets tore up the stage as they made their Sunset Strip debut at The Whisky a GoGo this past Friday night. We were there for the show and wouldn’t have missed it. We first featured Faith and Bullets on our Thirsty Thursdays a feature about bands who are thirsty for ROCK and the power to make it happen! This band is definitely dedicated and one of the hardest working band out here in the area.  All that hard work has paid off for them as they made down to their first of what I am sure to be, shows in Hollywood.  Here is our interview with Faith and Bullets from the Whisky a Go Go:   Faith and Bullets have a sound that blends old 80′s rock  like Motley Crue, Kiss, Poison, and Dokken with what I call “80′s on replay rock” like Crashdiet, Black Veil Brides, and Reckless Love. You have Stevie Mayhem on vocals who not only delivers incredible 80’s inspired vocals but has an amazing stage presence as well.  Rikk Alexander [Read More]

Check out Mariachi Muerto for some Latin style Rap/Rock

May 1, 2014

How about something a little different for your musical tastebuds? How about checking out some Latin style Rap/Rock with the band Mariachi Muerto from Corpus Christi, TX. Mariachi Muerto is Ruben A Lopez on Lead Vocals, Mark A Pantoja on Rhythm Guitar, Lee Roy Lerma on Drums, and Roger Vela on Bass. They released a video for their song, Who We Are and the video was shot and edited by Mando Lujan from “In My Room Productions”. They describe the song as “the song that defines the sound, attitude and platform to which we create musically.” Check it out here:   That is some pretty damn fine rappin and rockin if you ask me! It almost reminded me of Ice Cube blended with nu-metal. I look forward to hearing more new music from Mariachi Muerto. They have an upcoming show on May 9th with Shattered Sun. Check out the flier here:   Also make sure to visit their social media sites and follow/like them. We will see if we can bring you more updates about Mariachi Muerto. ~ Marisol [Read More]
