Truckfighters return to the US for another tour in May, DON’T MISS THEM!

April 15, 2014

Last month we caught Truckfighters perform at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco. They put on one of the most energetic, fantastic and entertaining performances I have seen in a long time. These Swedish ROCKERS know how to put on a show!! If you missed them, don’t worry they are coming back to the US for another tour starting in May. Make sure to catch them live, here are the tour dates:   When I first saw Truckfighters, the singer reminded me of Kurt Cobain, the guitarist reminded me of Angus Young and the drummer remind me of Tre Cool.  It was like I was watching a supergroup as these charismatic and intense musicians gave it a 150% and rocked the crowd from start to finish. You can check out a tribute video that Rockin Ryan made from footage of their set at the DNA Lounge. Then I am sure, you won’t want to miss them!! Also be sure to head over to Itunes and pick up their latest album Universe. ~ Marisol     [Read More]

Hopeless Records signs coldrain from Japan, get ready for The Revelation

April 14, 2014

Hopeless Records have just signed a deal with a great band from Japan, coldrain. coldrain are from Nagoya, Japan and were formed in 2007, five members of two local bands decided to come together and become more than just local. Composed of lead vocalist Masato, bassist RxYxO (Ryo), drummer Katsuma, and guitarists Y.K.C (Yokochi) and Sugi. Shortly after forming, the band set off for their first tour and played in 30 venues across Japan. They have an awesome sound that could be compared to an offspring of Bring Me The Horizon and Sleeping With Sirens. What is unique is that this band has worked at creating their own signature sound and have had major success in their home country, especially with their 2012 EP Through Clarity. So are you ready to take a listen and maybe, just maybe you may have found your new favorite band. Here is their video for their song, The Revelation:   That song is so incredible, the fast tempo double bass is bad ass!  I love the scream and the [Read More]

Pre-Teen Metal band, Unlocking The Truth takes over Coachella as the youngest band to appear at festival

April 14, 2014

Coachella Festival was treated to an amazing performance by the pre-teen metal band, Unlocking The Truth from Brooklyn, New York. At the young ages of twelve and thirteen these three kids are skilled musicians and have everyone taking notice of their exceptional talent. Unlocking The Truth were one of the inaugural performances on the main stage Saturday and their explosive live set generated a massive circle pit and left the crowd crying out for more.  Of their set The Los Angeles Times declared, “Playing a hard distorted blend of metal, speed punk and alternative rock on the main stage, they were as well-practiced as units three times their age” while Buzz Bands LA avowed that the band “overpowered an ever-growing mass of moshing festival-goers with the heaviest metal in Indio this side of Motorhead…Malcolm Brickhouse, Jarad Dawkins and Alec Atkins play their instruments better than most bands on the bill…” I can only imagine what the future has in store for this young metal band that write and create their own lyrics and music.
