The Pretty Reckless set Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs Record with New No. 1

October 27, 2016

The Pretty Reckless just set Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs Record with a new No. 1. It is an exciting time for The Pretty Reckless as they become the first act to send their first four entries to No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Songs airplay chart (which began in 1981), as “Take Me Down”  rises 2-1 on the chart dated Nov. 5. They were previously tied with 3 Doors Down. Have you seen their video for Take Me Down? If not, check it out here:   The Pretty Reckless also extends its record for the most No. 1s by a femalefronted group on the chart, with four.  The Pretty Reckless also extends its record for the most No. 1s by a femalefronted group on the chart, with four.  – Kevin Rutherford. ZAKK SABBATH tore the roof off The Regency Ballroom with their recent performance.

October 18, 2016

Sunday night was a fierce one filled with high energy sets at The Regency Ballroom in San Francisco!  It kicked off with a great set by Kyng that got the crowd ready. Clutch wrapped up the night with a raging crowd pleasing set and right in the middle of it, was the outstanding performance by Zakk Sabbath. I have been waiting to catch Zakk Sabbath live as I have heard so many great stories about their sets. Well, let me tell you, it completely exceeded any and all  my expectations.   The crowd went wild as Zakk Sabbath unleashed the beast with their infectious energy. Zakk Wylde was a madman on his guitar and had you in constant awe of his precision playing. Blasko was ferocious on the bass as he traveled across the stage energizing the fans. Joey was a ball of fire as he brought it all together with his hard hitting drums. You could feel and breathe in the passion that these three have when they play, and it was purely magical. Kyng returns to San Francisco for a high energy set at Regency Ballroom

October 18, 2016

Kyng returned to the Regency Ballroom this past Sunday night as they kicked off a night of high energy rock/metal in San Francisco. They are currently out on tour with Clutch and Zakk Sabbath and we were excited to catch them once again. This powerful trio delivers a powerful dose of energy when they hit the stage. You have Eddie Veliz on Vocals/Guitar, Pepe Clarke on Drums and Tony Castaneda on Bass/Backing Vocals. From start to finish, they are at 11 the entire time and they crank up the intensity with fierce riffs, thundering drums and melodic yet heavy vocals. Their energy is inescapable as they bring the truth and honesty back into rock, simple yet completely powerful. Check out some photos of their set by our Rockin Ryan: They have recently released their new album, Breathe In The Water, which I think is their best work to date.  So full of raw, honest, powerful hard and heavy rock and metal. It can’t be described as one genre, since they successfully bring out a variety of musical [Read More]

Halestorm, Lita Ford and Dorothy ROCK the Ace of Spades in Sacramento!

October 17, 2016

Ace of Spades in Sacramento definitely delivered a night of incredible rock n roll this past Saturday night.  The night kicked off with the soul grabbing rock set of Dorothy. This was my first time catching Dorothy live and will surely not be last. I was completely mesmerized by the powerful magnetic vocals of Dorothy, along with the shredding fuzzy guitar by DJ Black, the thunderous bass of Gregg Cash, and hard hitting drums by Dylan Howard. Together, they brought out an energy that got the crowd moving and ready to rock the night away. Lita Ford hit the stage and she obviously has been kept in a time capsule, she had the energy, the fervor, the beauty, the vocals of  her 20 year old self. Time has stood still for her as she gave the crowd a set that had them cheering and screaming from start to finish. Her set included Runaway songs, her solo hits, and new songs, including a great song she co-wrote with the legend Lemmy Kilmister. It was awesome to [Read More]
