Miss May I deliver a fierce kick ass set at Rockstar Mayhem Fest

July 10, 2014

Every time I see Miss May I, I get more and more impressed with their high energy powerful sets. This past weekend as we covered the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival in Mountain View at the Shoreline Amphitheater. We were at the Coldcock American Herbal Whiskey Stage promptly at 3:55 so we wouldn’t miss a second of Miss May I‘s set. Sure enough, they came out bustling with energy and had complete control over the crowd, infusing them with adrenaline. Everyone seem to be off their feet jumping, headbanging or with their fists in the air. It was an intense set and they played their fresh new take of old school metal that has longtime metal fans and new ones in acceptance. They have a very dedicated fan base which seems to span generations. Their new music has such a true old school metal sound but yet they have successfully infused their own new style and created music that everyone loves! Check out the photos by our Rockin Ryan of their set: Earlier this year, [Read More]

Texas Hippie Coalition show them how it’s done at Rockstar Mayhem Fest

July 10, 2014

Last weekend we covered the Rockstar Mayhem Festival as it made it’s stop in the Bay Area at the Shoreline Amphitheater. It was a long wild day filled with awesome bands and one band that is grabbing everyone’s attention is the Texas Hippie Coalition. We featured them last month along with a band interview that you can check it out here. They performed to a packed crowd and it was awesome to see the great reception that this Red Dirt Metal received from everyone. They tore up the stage as they brought an ass whoopin to the crowd. They raised the heat as everyone was embracing their heavy metal classic rock sound. It was intense and I couldn’t wait to catch them again. They are one of those bands that right after you see them, you are on an immediate high and contemplating when and where you will get to see them next!! Check out the photos by our Rockin Ryan of their set here: Texas Hippie Coalition will be playing on the entire tour [Read More]

Mushroomhead is definitely a highlight of Rockstar Energy Mayhem Fest

July 9, 2014

This past weekend, we made it out to the Rockstar Mayhem Fest  as it made it’s stop at the Shoreline Amphitheater on July 6th. We are looking forward to telling you about all the great sets but we wanted to tell you about one of the highlights of the Festival. We were excited to see that this band lives up to and exceeds anyone’s expectations with their energy filled dynamic set. The highlighted band we are talking about is none other than the great Mushroomhead. They came out onto the Coldcock American Herbal Whiskey stage to a packed crowd that extended all the way to the booths. The energy of the crowd was intense and once Mushroomhead began to play, the energy was raised ten fold! It was unreal and amazing. These guys deliver a non-stop adrenaline filled set that is 100% entertaining on all levels. They sounded on point the whole show and their stage presences are captivating and well deserving of a main stage. These guys should be placed on the main stage because that [Read More]

Our Warped Tour discovery highlight goes to One OK Rock

July 8, 2014

Vans Warped Tour truly brings so many great bands to everyone, some you may know, some you may have heard of but never seen and some you may have never heard of before. The great thing about Warped Tour is the exposure that these bands receive and how they make so many new fans after their performances. Our Warped Tour discovery highlight choice goes to a band that I have never heard of or seen before and when I did, they completely blew me away!  They are One Ok Rock from Japan. I wish I had learned of them sooner because I would have been cranking them out loud for the past several years! One OK Rock have an aggressively live performance that completely captivates you. Their songs blend rock and metal with some fierce Japanese flair. Their stage presence is one of the best and will take you by surprise if you happen to be walking by the Beatport Stage. That is how we found them and thankfully, we walked by on the first [Read More]
