May 24, 2014

“When the heart grieves over what is has lost, the spirit rejoices over what it has left.”  – Sufi Epigram  Suicide Silence have emerged from the tragedy of losing their frontman Mitch Lucker on October 31, 2012.  They not only lost a frontman, they lost a best friend, brother, and so much more.  It is through moving forward that their spirit rejoiced and are looking ahead into a bright future.  With the introduction of  Hernan “Eddie” Hermida as new vocalist, the band is stronger than ever and ready to do what they love, make music and perform. Suicide Silence recently released their heavy new track, “Cease To Exist” just a couple weeks ago and it has been well received and garnering a lot of great attention. It is a bad ass heavy track that you have to check out. The song comes off their forthcoming album, “You Can’t Stop Us” which is set for a July 15th release in the US. “Suicide Silence have declared You Can’t Stop Me as their most impassioned, most committed, and most important release thus [Read More]

Carolina Rebellion by Danielle Carter

May 7, 2014

There is a huge difference between an Annual festival and a tour that was just announced. Concerts are more spontaneous, so to speak, while festivals are something we wait for all the details to be announced, even right after that same festival just happened. Carolina Rebellion is one of those Festivals. With it being the biggest music festival in the Carolinas, I knew before arriving that it would be a crazy weekend. Some of the Headliners included Rob Zombie and Avenged Sevenfold, along with Kid Rock and Staind. I was only able to attend the first day of this Festival but it was definitely one for the books! Seeing some of the bands I have loved for years, like Seether and Avenged Sevenfold, made me even more excited it! I have to commend the staff for Carolina Rebellion for one major thing: You were able to see all the bands over the course of the weekend. They didn’t overlap at all so even though you may not be front for every band (They have two [Read More]
