Concert Review: Atreyu with Tenside at Munich. Contributed by Alex Bock

Strom, Munich, June 22, 2016

 

Since June 7th Atreyu is on a European summer tour on which they’re attending festivals as well as playing clubs, like they did on June 22nd in Munich.

The Strom was already pretty packed when Tenside, a local band from Munich, came on stage to warm up the crowd that night, which they did pretty well.

Atreyu got the crowd going from the first song on. They kept a very close contact to the audience, esp. Alex Varkatzas, their singer. He more than once got down from stage to join the people. That night a family with three kids was there. A rare sight in Germany, since younger kids usually don’t attend shows here. The band took the kids with them on stage for a few songs. Something they’ll probably never forget.

The song list for the night included ‘Doomsday’, ‘Long Live’, ‘When Two Are One’, ‘Bleeding Mascara’, ‘Do You Know Who You Are?’ and also a cover of Bon Jovi’s ‘You Give Love A Bad Name’.
