Concert Review Seether and LTNT in Munich by Alexandra Bock

Seether w. LTNT, Backstage Werk, Munich, August 10, 2015

After two festival dates Seether started their club tour in Munich. They brought along a band from North London called LTNT (Lieutenant). They are a three piece band, describing their music style on facebook as ‘alt rock product of youth post good times’ and good times it were yesterday. LTNT also played the world famous Download festival this year (and last year too). Their debut record and recent show stirred quite some attention in the music industry. It was another one of those hot days and nights and the the heat inside was kinda brutal. That didn’t stop both bands to celebrate an awesome rock show.

Seether delivered an incredible set, sounding much heavier on stage than on their records. The audience was with the band from the first tunes on. The photo pit was hot, I wouldn’t want to know what it was like in the pit, where everyone jumped around an sang along for the whole of the 90 minutes set. It was mosh pits and crowd surfers all along. The more quiet moment was when they played ‘Broken’, one of my favorite ballads to this day. New songs like ‘Nobody Praying For Me’ were as much celebrated as the older ones like ‘Country Song’. The only time to cool down was the drumsolo with John Humphrey playing the second parts with his bare hands. Now that I think about it, that didn’t really cool down anyone…lots of sweat, lots of awesome rock tunes, a perfect evening for me!

Their European tour just started, so there’s lots of chances to catch the bands in a town near you. Tour ends on August 30^th at Leeds festival. The ‘final 2015’ tour hits the States on October 3^rd at the ‘Louder than Life’ Festival in Louisville, KY.
