Måneskin brings phenomenal rock show to Oakland Arena

There is no doubt that Rock n Roll is alive and thriving when you have Italian rockers Måneskin on stage. They eat, sleep, breathe rock n roll at 150% and their shows back up that claim.  Måneskin brought their RUSH World Tour to the Oakland Arena this past weekend and it was nothing short of AMAZING!

The crowd was fueled and ready to rock, no opener needed to get them going. The band walked out behind the curtains and began performing Don’t Wanna Sleep and when the curtains dropped, cheers and screams erupted throughout the arena.  The ROCK show begun and there was no slowing down from that moment until the end. It was filled with high energy, excellent musicianship and the band not only play off each other but incredible crowd interaction.

Frontman extraordinaire Damiano David headed into the crowd and crowd surfed a few times. The effervescent and charismatic bassist Vic Deangelis had her own Vic’s Hot Chicks fan club in the front and she would come down to the crowd and they would go wild.  Guitarist Thomas Raggi plays so well to the crowd and his interaction with Vic and Damiano is  seamless and provides a blistering performance! Drummer Ethan Torchio, even though he is at the rear of the stage, his precision drumming shines through and fuels the crowd.

After 10 non stop adrenaline filled crowd favorite songs also including their infectious new track, Honey (Are You Coming?) and the first time we heard new track The Driver, they moved to a second stage for a 2 song acoustic set of Timezone and If Not For You. The fans in the area went wild to have them so close.

They returned back to the main stage and kicked it up a notch with I Wanna Be Your Slave, followed by Mammamia, and an unbelievable cover of Kendrick Lamar’s Humble, then right back in to In Nome del Padre and Blah, Blah, Blah. They announced the last song of Kool Kids and brought up a few dozen of excited fans who tore the roof off the Arena.

They returned for an encore which included a stellar guitar solo from Thomas Raggi followed by The Loneliest and finishing off with another I Wanna Be Your Slave.
