Mannequin Pussy delivers powerhouse performance in San Francisco

Mannequin Pussy brought their I Got Heaven Tour to San Francisco for a sold out show at the August Hall. The tour in support of their fourth studio album, I Got Heaven which was released on March 1, 2024 via Epitaph Records. We have been blasting the album for a couple months now and have been so excited for the tour to finally make it to the Bay Area.

The night kicked off with an explosive set by Soul Glo. Their music blends hardcore punk and hiphop shining a light on the Black American experience. Their set was absolutely incredible and the crowd reciprocated the intense energy with a massive mosh pit that held strong throughout the set. Singer Pierce Jordan commanded the crowd and even jumped in to the crowd to mosh. The adrenaline raced through the venue and it was one spectacular set.

The crowd was able to catch their breath after Soul Glo’s fierce set and they ramped it up even more as Mannequin Pussy hit the stage. The band embodies the raw energy of American punk and the infectiousness of alt/indie rock appealing to all listeners who crave authenticity and originality in their music. It is definitely what we need more of! The band’s performance was both cathartic and mosh pit worthy, unleashing a torrent of raw emotion and driving rhythms that reverberated through the crowd. The songs were a release, a sonic exorcism that invited the fans to lose themselves in a frenzy of movement and shared energy. The combination of soul-baring lyrics and thundering beats created an atmosphere where catharsis collided with adrenaline, resulting in a non-stop mosh pit.

The solid set had the crowd singing along and moshing and we were ecstatic to finally see live our favorites like Loud Bark, I Got Heaven and Drunk II and Perfect. We didn’t want the night to end! Check out photos of their set by our Rockin Ryan:
