Tonight at The Regency Ballroom, the line wrapped around the block as the crowds arrived early for Melanie Martinez and her Cry Baby Tour. This was the third night of the tour and it was another SOLD OUT show! The night kicked off with the high energy of UK Indie pop band, Alvarez Kings. These guys truly deliver one straight up rockin set. They have continued to garner high praises for their Fear To Feel EP and to see them once again live, was a special treat. Next up, the crowd soon began to chant Melanie, Melanie as they grew anxious for her arrival to the stage. The Cry Baby stage was set as a nursery setting and Melanie entered through the crib. It was an epic entrance and the crowd went wild with enthusiasm as she kicked right in with Cry Baby. The night continued with the audience singing along to every word of every song. Being that the crowd was predominantly young, it was incredible to see the parents enjoying the show as much as their kids! It isn’t hard to get into the spirit as Melanie has a commanding stage presence and truly captivates her audience. Check out some photos by Rockin Ryan here:
It was quite a performance and Melanie delivered 150% to that stage as you could feel the passion for her music shine through from start to finish. This is one talented artist that is staking her claim on the music scene with her creative style and music. Pure enjoyment! The tour continues across country and many of the shows are already sold out. If you can, I would highly suggest trying to get your tickets and enjoy a great night of upbeat catchy music. If you do go, make sure to pick up her debut album, Cry Baby vinyl. I loved that they had the album on vinyl and is a must have!
