State Line Empire, Red Sun Ruins and Red Voodoo ROCK Old Princeton Landing

Old Princeton Landing was the place to be on Saturday October 19th. Half Moon Bay had an epic pumpkin festival and there was no better way to finish it off, than with a PumpkinFest AfterParty at the Old Princeton Landing, known as the “Coastside’s Biggest Little Music House”. The all ages show featured State Line Empire, Red Sun Ruins and Red Voodoo.

The night kicked off with a rockin set by Red Voodoo. If you’re wondering where to find that electric energy that bands like Van Halen brought to the stage, look no further than Red Voodoo. With scorching guitars, high-energy powerful vocals, thundering bass lines, and drums that shake the room, they have all the elements to get you rocking. Red Voodoo brought that old-school, arena-rock vibe to life, reminding us why we fell in love with rock in the first place. This is a band you won’t want to miss so catch them when they come around. Next up was a fierce set by State Line Empire. I can still remember the first time we saw them back at the Red Devil Lounge in 2010 and we instantly fell in love with their style and their non-stop rock and metal vibes. To see how they’ve grown, changed and evolved over the years, they put on a performance that was the pinnacle of their musical history. The energy was infectious and the crowd was loving every minute of it. One of the highlights for everyone was watching the best kids mosh pit in front of the stage, which was led by drummer Jay’s son Cody. It was so amazing to see the non-stop energy that these kids had as they danced around and rocked out to one of the best sets performed by State Line Empire.

Tony Malson’s vocal prowess is a force to be reckoned with – commanding and powerful yet with a captivating edge that draws you in.  Scott Proctor delivers thunderous bass lines that adds depth to every song. His backing vocals seamlessly blend with the lead, rounding out the band’s sound in a way that feels complete and cohesive.  The addition of Thomas Cruce on guitar rounds out the perfect sound for State Line Empire. His playing is sharp and ferocious, injecting a fresh energy into the band’s already explosive dynamic. You can’t help but headbang and rock out when he lays down those sick riffs. Jay Michaelis is the undeniable powerhouse of State Line Empire, the backbone of the band’s rhythm. His drumming style is a masterclass in precision and power, delivering a backbeat that drives every song with relentless energy. With every beat and maneuver , he showcases his pure talent, making even the most complex rhythms seem effortless – all the while flashing a small that keeps the crowd fully entertained.
